Wow! I hope to see something cool!

Based on recent articles, I guess it's gonna be partly about multi-threading :)

Are we going to see some short gameplay or maybe a few new screenshots/stills?

Because they already did a technical breakdown of the reveal cinematic so I am expecting to see something new, even if it's just a teaser.

Very intéresting! I'll be there :)

So the game takes place in Kovir and I called it months ago! Good to see I was right! It makes the most sense narrative-wise.

The technical demo was amazing I only have one issue.

I feel like the red/orange hues were a bit oversaturated. I would have personally gone for a cooler, more muted color pallette since this is the far north.

I feel like with the super saturated colors, the vibe was a bit off.

Other than that I am so hyped you guys!

Lan Exeter looks beautiful! Triss apperance basically confirmed since she is the advisor to the king!!!

This was impressive, especially considering it was a tech demo, so still waaaay before anything near production.

The rule with tech demos is to be sceptical but if they hit this type of graphical fidelity with 60 FPS on base current gen hardware...wow, just wow!

I really liked the seamless transition between gameplay and cutscene and the responsiveness of the world, how Ciri works her way through the crowd, how the apples fall on the ground and the kid run to pick them up. Definitely promising and important in open-world RPG.

Overall - exciting stuff, let's see if they can deliver on their vision :)

Mother of God!

Well, I thought it looked incredible at first; a massive leap in many directions of game development, but after letting it sink in for a while I started to wonder if and how much was it scripted, adjusted, etc.

It's hard to believe all this runs fluently. I am not sure what did they exactly say - does this showcase really run live on ps5 at 60 fps with raytracing on?

Anyway, here's my feedback:

Pros:
- contextual animations look pretty cool, although I hope they won't be overdone
- seamless interactions/simulations like mounting the horse or petting it, cloak simulation, etc. look great
- the world looks nice and original (orange cliffs, spiky mountains, streams, deep forests, village design, the combination of green trees and grass and white ice and snow, etc). Also, I especially liked the over-hanging part of the mountain with the stream in the very beginning.
- NPCs look lively and reactive! They chained reaction of Ciri pushing a guy, him dropping an apple case and a kid picking it up looked great.
- swapping of TPP gameplay and lively cutscenes looks great (although I am not sure if it wasn't scripted and will not be present in the game)

Cons:
- Ciri's cloak looks graphically inconsistent with the rest of the world. It's too grey and too smooth. She looks like Darth Vader.
- level desing seems wrong. Both the world and the village look too rich and too displaced. There is too much grass, snow and rocks where there's should be any; the same goes for branches, buildings, fences, harbor constructions, etc.; everything really. It looks too perfectly random, blending with everything around too much rather than standing on it's own.
- Ciri's writing. I like she's more lively, but it's overdone to the point it looks like she's arrogant. In the books she was spontaneous, decisive, had temper; yes; but she was also very smart, tactical and knew her place very well. The dialogue with the guy should be toned down. Let some of the work be done with her intense look, staying silent, more mature and minimalist witcher (body) language, speaking from experience, etc.

It's a tech demo, so well it's what it should look, in theory... But at least, it's closer to what we could expect seeing in game than the last trailer :)
So its not the game. Pitty. I really wanted to be the game. I though they were so advanced in dev that they can show in game open-word stuff.
I know how UE5 games looks. Played Stalker 2, Black Myth Wukong, Silent hill 2 Remake, Gothic Remake Demo.

A thought just hit me that the tech demo was much less representative of low-level design choices than I previously thought.

The part with Ciri talking to the quest guy, which I disliked, may have been there to show off animation tools (especially for facial expressions), not a direction of writing.

Things that may be representative could be color palette, some of the meshes, parts of the level design,...

If this is the case, I find it...unfortunate.
If the demo doesn't represent the game well enough from players' perspective, why did CDPR show it off as if it did? - inside the world, with a dialogue and living world events (the bear, the fish trader, the quest giver,...), played live on the stage, with a commentary on some of the lore-related things?

Not sure, maybe to show to the all devs/studios who use/work on Unreal Engine, the upcoming features they will be able to use for their own games. This tech demo wasn't intended to showcase the game, but Unreal Engine features.

Yes, it's excatly what it was and the same for almost everything else in the tech demo. And don't worry if you disliked it, this part won't likely be in the game ;)
