The Witcher is headed to State of Unreal 2025!

Lol, how can you be so sure? :D Did the devs comment on the purpose of such sections, including the dialogue?
Because as they said two times during the showcase, this isn't the game, it's a tech demo set in the Witcher 4 univers. So sure there are some stuff which will likely be in the game and more or less look like that in the game (like Ciri, Kelpi, the game will be in Kovir, Lan Exeter, the trees...). But most of stuff was especially created to showcase the new Unreal Engine features.
Quite different than the first trailer. The quest we saw in the trailer will be in the game, from memories they also said we will be able to save the girl.

And again, here the descrition of the video (in addition to the message "Technical Presentation - Not Actual Gameplay" :
"CD PROJEKT RED and Epic Games come together at the State of Unreal to show an early development Unreal Engine 5 tech demo for The Witcher 4 — showcasing some of the innovative technology and features that will help bring the game’s open world to life. Keep in mind this isn’t gameplay of The Witcher 4 itself, but a deep dive into the technological foundation of the new Witcher saga."
So I repeat, if you didn't like the cinematic with Ciri, don't worry. It was especially created to showcase how flawless the transitions between gameplay and cinematic will be, how great faciale animations will be, how realistic horse animations will be, how much foliage devs will be able to put in their games, how much NPCs devs will be able to add while remaining in the "60FPS budget" and so on...
