HiI report this problem while running "Deceits": the game crashes when entering a new area (house). It happens only with this adventure, not with the other four included in patch 1.5, neither with the OC.The game is updated to versione 1.5. Both EE and the latest pacth have been downloaded from the site (no disc).

Well, don't reinstall everything just because of one adventure. Some people do have problems with 'Deceits'. Try to get some save files from this adventure from someone or send me a link to your last saves from before the moment of the crash via PM, I will see what I can do.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate. Unfortunatly I cannot even begin Deceits. It crashes soon any time I change area. I mean "any area"! So I cannot enter a house, a cave, a crypt, the field.....nothing at all. ::)

I attach now (sorry, forgotten!)...I guess you mean this with PCWizard's report. I've reported just the witcher.exe error, not the entire system report.

this is not what i've asked, you keep attaching this PCWizard error log but i want a spcific file from the GAME folder, just go into the /The Witcher/System/ folder and attach that file named ERRLOG.TXTi don't want a PCWizard filedo you have Autosave diabled ingame ?

maybe it just crashes when it tries to make an autosave that's why i've asked you to disabled it anyway

So, I've updated my pc both to SP3 and the latest nvidia driver (196.21). I've disabled the autosave too, but nothing change. Deceits still crashes when changing area and sometimes even while wandering around a area (cuch as countryside). I don't thinkl there's a solution for this. Maybe, the adventure is just "buggy" on my pc.

Hello. I have the UK version of The Witcher Enhanced Edition.Currently I cannot install the v1.5 patch (latest). The game runs ok, after some troubleshooting from my part. My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits.At first I had trouble with TAGES, after the first installation (which completed successfully) of the game (v1.4), the OS said it didn't recognize a certain driver, so it disabled it. That is when the problems started. I didn't try the game out after this first installation, I went directly to the v1.5 patch, and it crashed during installation, with a strange error prompt. Then I tried the game out and it crashed also while loading. Finally, after several tries, I updated the TAGES driver and applied other tips found on this forums. That is, I run everything as administrator, run the patch on compatibility mode and I used the TweakUAC to place the UAC to QUIET (it was previously disabled, right from the beginning). So now, after applying these tips, I can successfully install the game (version 1.4) and run it. Still, when I try to update (execute) to v1.5, the installation crashes, and from then on, the game also crashed when I try to play it. This time though, the crash is the typical Windows 7 error prompt, which says the program stopped working and gives the choices to look online for solutions or close the program. The details say something about ISSetup.dll under Module Failure Name or something of that nature (at first it said USER32.dll but I figure that changed once I changed the UAC settings). My OS is up to date, as are all the hardware drivers. My hardware is Intel Quad Core Q9650 processor, Asus Rampage Formula motherboard, 4GB DDR2 Corsair CM2X2048-6400C4DHX ram, Evga Nvidia GTX 275 graphics card and Seagate Barracuda 250 GB 7200.10 SATA II hard drive. Nothing is overclocked. I previously installed this game and applied the patch on this same machine but under Windows XP Pro SP3.I would greatly appreciate help in this matter as I would very much like to update this game to its latest version and apply the additional content.Best regards!

Hello. Thanks for the reply.I have already read the FAQ. That is how I got the original (v1.4) game working after all, thanks though. I have now checked the file integrity of the file of the v1.5 patch. This was possible luckily because I had stored the old file I previously used and made work on Win XP on an external hard drive. The file I have problems with now I downloaded it again for this installation. I used ExactFile and performed all the test. None of the checksum values of the original (old patch file) match the new one (the one I tried with). I take it therefore the new file is corrupt in some way.Still, I dare not give the old file a try, because I am afraid of having to install everything all over again if things go wrong again. The thing is I am rather fine using v1.4, I manually downloaded all the adventures and I am using a crack for the .exe. The only problem is the I cant find the adventure "Deceits" for downloading. If anyone could kindly post the files required to install this adventure I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again!

hi just a quick questionhas anyone noticed their graphics drastically decrease with the 1.5 patch? i applied it from a 1.4 EE install (and the directors cut patch) and now the intro movie + the character models all look worse than the regular 1.4 install.is this a common problem and is there a fix? if there isnt i may just reinstall a fresh 1.4 as sacrificing graphics for a cd in the drive isn't worth it to me thanks

For the registration key you will need to contact atari http://www.atari.com/support just select your location and languageAs for the not recognized issue that usually means the game is up to date to check click launcher then select check for updates if in the address bar you see toward the end 1.5.0.1304 then your game is up to date

i finally got around to downloading and installing the patch today. all of my drivers and what not are up to date. i have the enhanced edition. before patching the game, i hadn't ever had any issues that i couldn't figure out on my own. this graphical glitch is extremely annoying and i'd like to figure out how to solve it. i refuse to play it like this:
as you can see, geralt's face and weapons are all out of whack. everything else in the game appears to be fine.

Hmmm the witcher meets scary movie i must admit i had this exact same issue once also in Vizima but i really don`t know what i did exactly to fix it as i was unable at the time to take screenshots and was having other issues as well mainly video card driver crashing and has recovered error. But i do remember saving and exiting game everything was normal but when i rebooted into game later on your issue was what i got exactly. Luckily i didn`t keep playing but i do remember deleting the last 3-4 saves that i made and everything returned to normal and it hasn`t happened since. Sorry i couldn`t be of more help
