Or maybe on another continent? In the books there is a hint that the guy in Gors Velen (who walked around with Ciri) is going to discover new continents.

New continents -> a lot of monsters -> a lot of work for witchers.

Never played ME ;)
But I wouldn't say no to W3 enhanced edition, with few hours of additional content...

What about Nilfgaard? it would be an excellent chance to present a new whole culture, provide opportunities for Ciri as a main character and it would give the Devs more liberty regarding the saga given that the novels dont provide much information about the empire.

That would be a great idea actually, and it would allow Witchers to be revitalized in their usefulness. Imagine, Nilfgaard, the Northern Kingdoms, or some nation is in the process of colonizing a new continent. There are lots of monsters to be killed (and secrets to be unlocked). You play as a Witcher hired by whoever would be the monarch in charge. It would be a pretty fantastic setting.

Lucky you ...to some degree I guess :D..it was a great series, bar the endings :) Much like W3 which I uninstalled 'cause I couldn't take the way Act3 was handled...I also hope that I get over that by the time CDPR decide to officially address this (whether it's DLC or EE)..won't be buying into any expansion passes though until the glaring issues get sorted.

I'd really like to see Nilfgaard proper, that shot in the ending slides looked really cool with the sun arch over the harbor!

The Yaruga River valley features a lot in the book series- so Cintra, Brugge, Sodden, Angren would be fun. Lots of book history, areas repeatedly torn up by wars and probably full of unrest against the imperial overlords.

The games make a terrible job at showing how allegedly monsters are few in numbers in recent times so much so Witchers are "not needed" anymore.
I mean, you cannot walk 50 yards from your house without encountering some sort of man killing beast.
Drowners spawn literally inside villages (White orchard), patrols are massacred inside the world's biggest city by Succubi, the seat of the witchhunters is infested by vampires.
Skellige is downright infested by all sorts of monsters.

I mentioned that the prevalence of monsters actually warps the narrative of the Witcher novels. In the novels, Geralt is an anachronism like a Civil War soldier or a samurai after the Warring States period. He no longer has a function in the world but way too many skills. The Witchers are something HORRIBLE from a time which is better left forgotten and no one, the Witchers themselves included, want them back. They live miserable hated lives and it's best for them to pass into history.

And the games show them as vitally needed heroes in a world which is desperate for champions against evil.

Correct, while oddily dialogue negates this (ergo it is kept from the books, in places).
"You witchers are relicts of a bygone era!"<-gets eaten by random drowner

Anyway, Witcher 2 made much more sense, as every location had its reason for the monsters.
Flotsam had the magic forest
Vergen the war and the fog, harpies in very remote mountanous locations
Loc Muinne had gargoyles due to a magical protection mechanism made by the circle itself

And the contracts were very few in number. In Witcher 3, every single place is heavily infested by monsters for some reason.
Heck there's also the mini game about liberating villages from monsters so they are habitable again.

Yeah, there's some theory that the Conjunction of the Spheres is close to happening again and releasing more monsters from other dimensions.

If that's the case, though, then the Continent is fucked.

At the end of season of storms (last witcher novel) it is hinted that witchers will always be needed even decades after the end of the games.

At the end of Witcher 3 there is a second Conjunction of Spheres so I don't think the amount of monsters is a concern. CDPR can just easily explain the effects of the conjunction in the next game, I felt they purposefully didn't explain it much so they have more creative options in the future.

edit: atleast that's what I understood, but they don't exactly say much.

Yep, Ciri actually messed up when dealing with the White Frost and triggered another Conjuction.

And the amount of monsters I believe is attributed in one of the trailers to the war, which never changes, until it does.

Also had no idea the world was SO large and mainly unexplored, how can they end the series... Or the witcher MMO, like they did with TESO?

Back on topic, so many choices... mmm... not for any particular reason, I will choose... KOVIR.
