It is very likely that something similar happened in that universe The Witcher 3. Now that we reliably know how the world of Cyberpunk should look, we can confidently define Novigrad as the first city in the style (spirit) of real Cyberpunk. The screenshots show what a simple replacement of models in the game looks like, nothing more. The options for remastering an existing game are very limited. If you do not redo the scripts, animations and dubbing (and this is actually a new game), then there are only two real actions
- the first one is the simplest one - to replace 1K and 2K textures with fake 4K textures (because the volume of work on making real 4K textures is equal in volume to the second action).
- the second is to replace all significant game models with other, more diverse models in order to refresh the overall impression. (Everyone remembers the famous girl with a huge nose who plays half of all the female roles in the game.)

The FPS factor carries more weight than the illusory "realism". The magical RTX rays have not saved many 2021 games from the shameful failures.
