Curious , why it looked poor to you? You have simple attack, heavy attack, parry, dodge, 5 signs that do completely different things. Then you have preparation with potions bombs oils. Ive beat all Batman games on hard difficulty. It felt awesome, it looked awesome ,it was very fluid. But it still was simplistic 2buttons to win combat. Witcher 2 combat, with all it flaws, felt like a nice mix of action and strategy imo. I think Witcher 3 combat will be improved version of that.

Dunno,it did not seem fluid to me.More like trying to avoid enemy attacks,rather than pure action.But,i guess i have to play to judge though.As you said,it is more strategy than button smashing
