The Witcher Wiki - english version

Hi there,is there any Witcher Knowledge base around? Only thing I found is this. But that's not really extensive and the ad kinda annoys me.I'm thinking of something which is like UESP for the Elder Scrolls series. Information like this (or that) should be better off in a knowledge base. Obviously also information on lore, characters, etc should be posted there. What do you think about it?

As I tell my employees and co-workers who like to ask questions: "Your question leads to an action item - get it started and report back!"

Alright I created TheWitcher Wiki (Hurray!)But I strongly encourage you guys to contribute since that's how wikis work, right? Furthermore I'm not very familiar with configuring MediaWiki (that's what I'm using) - so if anyone has more experience with this, please contact me. There are some things that bug me (like that index.php in the url) but I'm gonna fix that when I got the time. For now, feel free to add quests, equipment, lore(!!), anything concerning The Witcher :)Update: Now there's only one TW wiki. Help us there :)

Link seems to be fine, just that there is no any content added to the wiki yet.I could be interested to be part of Witcher Wiki (if I enjoy the game), but first I just need to solve the problem that I can get the game work and take the first taste of the game. But meantime I just abide for waiting some solution and try to find the solution myself.

It was messing up with the .htaccess and LocalSettings.php to get rid of the index.php in the URL (like your Polish wiki has :p)Though my PHP knowledge is quite limited, nothing works the first time. But everything's fine now.edit: I will add content (mostly quests) as I play the game. And thanks for the sticky :)

Yeah, but since I don't speak a bit Polish I can't just translate the page. I've to start from scratch.

Because of that we will need the community contribution as well as some people speking both English and Polish. That is why i sticked this topic - we will try to find people that want to take part in filling the wiki with content.

You can always ask if RED would pay your polish studies and after you could make a straight translations. ;)

I was looking for a place to post the file formats of this game. Thank you for setting this up Firehawk. I'm a newbie when it comes to Wiki editing, Could you add a link to the main page to a "Witcher File Formats" page that is editable?

The Wikia \Witcher wiki is not very extensive yet, but is growing and will become extensive in time if more people contribute. As for the ad, just use AdBlock :). I do, and I forget that there is one. I don't see a point in creating yet another witcher wiki. If we all work on one wiki, it will grow faster than if we create a dozen :).

I added a link for that at the Wikia wiki:http://witcher.wikia.com/index.php?title=The_Witcher_file_formats&action=edit

Hi Ausir,Thank you also for that. I've posted the file format info on your site as well. With more eyes, I hope some of the unknowns will start getting filled in. I don't know what to expect from the Djinni toolset, but I doubt it will include a savegame editor which is something I'm interested in.

I hope Firehawk and you gonna figure out how to connect both wiki into one and work together.
