It still doesn't mean he'll be in TW3, so maybe you want to hold off on that. (And he definitely won't be in mine, because he's dead)

Geralt will fight alone alway ?
Well, from the book, we know that Geralt like fight by himself if he can, and only he will fight with help, if he really need that help.
Also, in the videos, we only see to Geralt doing things alone, so i think that Geralt will no be in his journey with his friends, like Dandelion, Yennefer, Triss, Ciri, Vesemir, maybe they will be just NCP for the story, or maybe they will fight with us in some specific moments, because fight alone or with a powerful mage to the same enemy is just ridiculously unbalanced, and Dandelion can't fight, so, for sure, we will have a Geralt, doing all almost by himself, and maybe with help in some specific moments.
Also, we have a open world now, and what happen if you fight with bandits, and you decide to escape, close to some citizens, will all they run, will be killed, will fight, or just still doing like if nothing happen, or the bandits will stop in the limits and return to their point of origin.

In the game...which suits the story of the game, but has nothing to do with the lore, the books, or generally "how the witchers roll". Also, no problem to see something like that in a cutscene, but as people already mentioned, no one wants to be tripping over useleess AI that not only doesn't help, but even gets in the way or accidently kills you.
