No, there is indeed a scene like that but in a flashback at kaer morhen and this is not a sex scene, from the look of it the unicorn scene seems to take place in Skellige.

I don't know where it took place, but in any case the unicorn is mentioned in Yen's letter at the beginning of the game. Of course it could be a different one but...

:scold: Ahah ok I meant it could be a different occasion, not necessarily a different place. But it's more likely to be a flashback.

Ah yes, in the books she do own a unicorn and Geralt admit that they had sex on it. The sequence at the beginning does not contain a unicorn scene and there is no other flashback with Yen as far as i know and in the books Geralt didn't had a beard. IThat's why she remind Geralt that she still have the unicorn, she'll use it later.

I've heard that you'll have to work for it throughout the story. From time to time, you'll have scenes with Triss /Yen where you slowly figure out the relationship. CDPR wanted to move away from the silly old "Bring the magical child to X in order to plough them!" and, honestly, I can't blame them. Hopefully the romances will be a bit more involved this time.

Hmm, that sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing it. Did they mention it in an interview? By the way, I have also the feeling that we have to side with one of them. Now that I recall...
back in 2013 CDPR released a few concept arts and one of them was Triss' bedroom in Kaer Morhen (the room we know from TW1). The interesting thing is that the name of the bedroom image was "bedroom_triss_yennefer7_flatten". So I was wondering maybe it could mean that one of them will be staying in Kaer Morhen, depending on who Geralt will "choose". Anyway, I guess both of them will have some scenes in Kaer Morhen.

I hope that Triss atitude changes with Geralt when she remember that Letho saved her e_e

I heard about it a month or two ago, but I can't remember which exact interview it was, sorry. There are just too many of them at this point.

Wow, good memory. Triss did say that she'll abandon the politics and the court life to live at Kaer Morhen, if Geralt asked.
It's going to be a little awkward if Yen would take Triss's room and "the best bed in Kaer Morhen" though...

I'm 87.34% certain that the opening scene of the game is Geralt's dream in which he becomes a part of Yennefer's Weird Ironic Unicorn Festival:

On top of that, the game opens with a sex scene, but that's not just for shock value and or titillation points. Oh heck no. According to senior designer Damien Monnier, that first sexual encounter is there for "...establishing that your character was intimate with this woman recently in order to plant in your mind that, at very least, he must enjoy her company. Through sex we have shown that this is a person who Geralt would be compelled to chase after if she went missing. Sex is the quickest way in which to establish the relationship and provide a justification for the player to pursue this woman. We couldn’t just tell you to go find someone you don’t know or care about. It wouldn’t work."

(source -- although there are a number of sites with this same info): http://www.destructoid.com/the-witc...of-motion-capture-for-sex-scenes-287036.phtml

Otherwise that exchange between him and Vesemir "what about this Post Script? 'I still have the unicorn'?" would be simply a great reference for book readers but be a bit random/weird for people who'd only ever played the games. Also, the unicorn in the books broke, so I assume that the opening sexy-times involves it simply because it doesn't look broken and the whole thing is a dream/flashback. Her still 'having it' would imply that she's kept it even after it's broken which most people wouldn't do even if it weren't damaged.

At least, I'm rooting for the opening scene of the game being the Unicorn Sex Scene simply because who other than CDPR would do that.

edit; and yeah, there is the Kaer Morhen thing, but it's a dream so I imagine that the dream might change or something a bit later. But they did say the opening scene is sex with Yen so this is what I'm thinking.

Yep, poor girl has always wanted to live at Kaer Morhen with him, I hope this time her dream will come true (even for a short while).
And yes. It will be indeed awkward if Yen takes the room and the best bed on which... khhm...
But on a more serious note, I am wondering what kind of relationship would Yen have with the other witchers? Would she feel comfortable being there? - I mean they like Triss a lot. (I would say that Vesemir, Eskel and even that silly Lambert have a crush on her.) So totally looking forward to seeing Yen's relationship with them as well.

There are plenty of empty rooms in Kaer Morhen, but I don't know about the quality of the beds :p

I guess levitated sex and a stuffed Unicorn should keep Yen happy.

Good theory but I read the exact transcript of the opening and there is no sex:
the scene take place after their intercourse, Geralt is taking a bath, Yen get up fr from the bed and put a towel then we can discuss with her about Ciri, there is a option to try to get close to her again but then she stop Geralt and say that he need to deal with Ciri first. And after that there is no occasion to use the unicorn because the dream soon turn into a nightmare.

The game starts with Yen's naked ass in your face, that much is true. But I really doubt that Geralt dreams about the unicorn at Kaer Morhen. It's already weird enough that he dreams about Yen at Kaer Morhen in the first place. Besides, does this look like Kaer Morhen to you?
And there's nothing wrong with very obscure book references at the start of the game.

The witchers will probably put up with her antics, since she's Geralt's friend, but yeah, I've been curious about that as well.

My hopes and dreams are crushed. Is that the exact transcript or is there a link you could give me? I want to be sure, dangit.

I wasn't suggesting it was at Kaer Morhen. The unicorn in the books was at her house in Vengerberg, if I'm not mistaken -- that scene is pretty dark so I can't say if it's Skellige or Vengerberg. Dreams change and whatnot, so to me it was entirely possible until nordelaire ruined my day with the truth.

Sorry, i read it in one of the january preview month ago and there is dozens of them x)
But i think this is actually a good thing taht this will not be a flashback but will happen during the main quest.

I Think this will occur during the quest where we have to "talk to yennefer in private" in Kaer Trolde, the room does looks like a skellige one with the horn decoration

Very nice point.
I am sure Yennefer's attitude is not going to make her a favorite among the Witchers. Even Letho said he had enough of Yennefer, and he was not very fund of her.
Yennefer is especially going to piss Lambert off.

As we know, Lambert gets pissed off very easily so it won't be too difficult for Yen. :D (The funny thing is that I think he actually does like Triss he's just emotionally immature and tries to hide behind sarcasm and rudeness). But imo it will be a mutual dislike between Yennefer and Lambert from the start. But if I remember correctly Geralt's friends have never been fond of her. Anyhow, I agree with Klavi. The witchers (except Lambert) will probably try to accept her because they know how important she is to Geralt.

My biggest question is where is Triss ?
She is definitely not an advisor anymore:p, she lost her house in Vizima, and she is not very popular in the North nor the South.
My best guess would be that she went back to Kaer Morhen after the events of Witcher 2.
So I think we'll find Yennefer first, and then we meet Triss when we go to Kaer Morhen.
I really want to see Yen and Triss seeing each other after so long and them rehashing the past. I think the two still care about each other even after everything that happened.

I think she is in Skellig, at least the first time your codex is updated about Triss is in a conversation with Yennefer.

Even though I try my best to avoid spoilers I have read somewhere (maybe in this very thread but I can't seem to find this post right now) that...
...Geralt will meet her in Novigrad (if my memory serves me right ) after the prologue. Also, last year there were some news about the russian dubbing and few lines (by Triss, Geralt and Zoltan) were released as well. Triss was talking about a...
...secret hospital. Sounds interesting, isn't it?

Yennefer could have changed, but at one hundred and given her personality it's doubtful. It's probably safe to say few people who don't 'get' her like her intrinsically, and of those who do understand her, not all are fond. Not a bad thing per se, but an artifact of her personality.

I don't think anyone lives in Kaer Mohren anymore, except Vesemir. The witchers can spend the winter there, if they have no place to go. Occasionally a guest could stay there. But not permanently.

I don't think that either Yennefer or Triss would want to live there. Neither would Geralt for that matter.

I don't know man, Triss definitely wanted to follow Geralt right after TW2, so there's a big chance that she will be with him at the start of TW3. Unless the game starts after he finds Yennefer, in which case I bet Triss would be gone.
