I think we should expect the possiblity that we (=Geralt) get neither of them. We should expect that going after Yennefer might very well end up in having no relationship at all at the end of the game. I think it shouldn't be a simple and easy "Triss or Yen" decision anyway. Relationsships are complicated and so are the characters and events in the witcher world.... ;)

Absolutely agreed! All I said in my last comment was assuming there WOULD be some kind of final choice, but I highly doubt it's gonna be that simple (thankfully).

I can't see how my posts spoiler anything important about the story of the books or even Witcher 3. And anyway, this is the forum for the GAME WITCHER 3 and not for the books. Among fans the books should be common knowledge. It's pretty hard to talk about Witcher 3 if you can't really talk about the books. That's like talking about the new Star Wars movie without being able to talk freely about Star Wars 1-6. Sorry, but the world is hard and you probably shouldn't read a thread about the story of W3 if you don't want to have any spoilers about the actual history and pre-events of the game which happened in the saga. In that case you should stay far away from any forums or at least from story threads imo. ;)

Oh the spoiler tags are definitely not for me. Also spoiler tags are not supposed to stop you from discussing anything. They are there, so that people who don't want the books or the games spoiled, won't read something accidentally. They will have to click on the spoiler tag first.

Not something Yennefer would go for, if a threesome is what you want it most likely would have to come from elsewhere.

Neither Yennefer, Triss nor Shani would actually be down for that :p. Also I would love to see the reactions from all 3 of them, should any Geralt decide to ask such question.

Yennefer would probably turn Geralt into a frog at once ... nobody is as jealous and irascible as Yen... :p

Yen has not only magic as a weapon. She can throw jars of jam very well. :p

Geralt, his curiosity piqued, led his mare to the corner of the alley. Before he had the time to locate the origin of the screams, he heard a crash of glass join the chorus of cries. A jar of cherry jam, he thought. That is the sound of a jar of cherry jam thrown by someone from a great height or with great force. He perfectly remembered Yennefer, during their time together, throwing in anger the jars like it that she received from her customers. Yennefer was ignorant of all the secrets of making jams: her magic in this area was still desperately incomplete.

I echo the comments here hoping it won't just be a straight choice between the two (or however many paramours there will be). Hopefully CDPR can add real complexity and twists in the relationships between Geralt and the women in his life. If however, I ultimately had to choose between these two, it'll be.... both, in multiple playthroughs!

Totally understandable. I would probably choose Yen as well if I had read the books first, but I only did so after playing the first two games. She's a hell of a character, but Triss was my Geralt's first lover.

I still hope they will give us a choice in this matter
I'm currently reading the books and even if it seems like Geralt and Yennefer are made for each other
Geralt is changed now I mean its not like the previous two games never happened Much has changed
And at least my Geralt really wanted to build a future with Triss (the conversation in the elven ruins)

Finish the books first. Then you will change your mind. Because I say so! :p

There will most probably be a choice anyway. But keep reading the books :)

Unpopular opinion time!

I like the idea that it's "already decided".
In the books, what Geralt wants "woman wise", is not always what he gets. So points like "we're the players we should decide" don't take into account that it's not the way it works with Yennefer around. So I like the idea of the girls dealing with that decision rather than screwing the one you like and live happily ever after. Based on the narration of the previous game, I'm sure that even if you don't decide, you won't feel dissapointed. I rather have less decision and strong narration.

This is an idea that hadn't been expressed properly so far. Thanks for the post.

I'm almost at the end of the first novel (I read the first two books, the short stories were pretty good and I liked how Geralt and Yennefer met in Last wish)
So maybe I will change my opinion

Disagree profoundly. If we don't get a say i'll be very irrated and disappointed.
