I repeat, that´s the problem, RPG. doesn´t mean Free Roaming, this is The Witcher, and has a character named Geralt of Rivia, and many others, not an unnamed, random characters, for you to customize, a mage, an archer, a cook, to be a saint, or a children serial killer, just because... Let´s not confuse things here...
CDPR are doing their best, to within the defined characters and stories boundries, of the books and the lore, without compromising that in an unfaithful way, make the best FAN-FICTION sequel they can, the same way if I´m gonna do an Spiderman game, maybe I can from the lore, take into account a few different possibilities, but respect the "lore", you know what I mean? things like Mary Jane or Gwen Stacy, friendship with Harry, Im not gonna make him date Flash Thompson...

Note: My meaning wasn´t about Triss, a very well written script, about her, can be very good to the plot of the game, she isn´t my choice as hardcore books fanboy, but I would appreciate, her as a good character, and everyone else can do whatever they want, this was just to emphasize how this games works on terms of role playing game, no matter what anyone wants, it´s based on lore, and defined characters, it isn´t a new I.P. or spin-off, with new characters to build from the ground.

Strawman, that's not what I said. Playing Geralt does not absolve CDPR from giving the players choice. They play a specific character, but they still make said characters choices. I don´t know what you have read, but that´s precisely what I said, within characters boundries, they can write a few variations of scripts, always respecting the characters, about choices they are present because they want them to be there, they are not required to do that, it´s their will, and they will do it, WITHIN THE CHARACTERS BOUNDRIES, that was all my point, beacuse you implied, again, something without totally freedom wasn´t an RPG.
Again, I don´t know what you read, but I never said anything about the game not having choices, the opposite, and explained how the RPG The Wtcher works.

Again, Strawman. Where did I say total freedom was required? Nowhere did I say "total." Where in that quote did I say "total?" You're strawmanning and don't even realize it.
What confines? Just because the books say Yen doesn't mean CDPR are confined to that, that's just pure wishful thinking and speculation on your part. Bottom line, CDPR made Triss an intricate character in W2, hell that players have to choose between saving her or Tamaria in one ending. They can't just ditch her there now because it's convenient to do so according to the books. And you don't get to decide how the Witcher 3 RPG will work, so don't try to explain to me how it does.
