Theory on Jacques of Aldersberg

+
Hello everybody. I replayed 1 month ago Witcher 1. And in the new extension there is Jacques of Aldersberg. Let's go for a theory. Is Alvin the Grand Master ?
I would like to see your thoughts about this !

Yes, Alvin is Jacques. This has been a long-held "theory" with a gigantic amount of evidence supporting it. Even the answers you give to Alvin's questions in chapter IV change dialogue Jacques says to you in the Epilogue. Alvin teleported back in time before his own birth and became Jacques de Aldersberg who creates the conditions that cause Alvin to teleport back in time and became Jacques in this sort of time-loop.

This twist makes the ending one of my favorite video game endings. Alvin/Jacques is an incredibly tragic character. He wanted to be a hero and in the process became a monster.

Alvin was traumatized by the monsters of the world, human and non-human, Geralt inspired him to try to fix it all, only for him to create those same monsters, even becoming one himself and being slain by Geralt's silver sword.
