I like Dishonored very much, but it is short, with comparatively similar locations, and somewhat predictable plot. I like that the game offered two kinds of approach, and allowed for a complete non-detection/non-lethal playthrough. But after I finished two runs, with lots of combat on High Chaos and non-lethal/ghost on Low Chaos, there is simply nothing there for another run. I like this the Outsider guy (similar to some kind of one of the princes of Chaos from Chronicles of Amber), and the Universe in general, but in the game it wasn't even close to being fleshed out. I am glad I bought it only after price went down, and I payed only $30, not full $60.Dona said:Which is hilarious because I thought Dishonored was mediocre at best. The hype machine behind it was ridiculous.
Thief games are pretty damn long, with very varied locations, and much more interesting story. Given that combat is practically never a viable option, this franchise was built around stealth and story. I am afraid it won't be a main feature of the new game. I don't really see a point of cross-breeding old Thief concept and Dishonored concept. They are about different things, and should be kept apart.
