http://www.eidosmontreal.com/teams/tf

If you swap back and forth between DXHR teams you can see...people! It's like a game of find many Waldos.

I also found this: http://pikigeek.com/2011/04/27/deus-ex-human-revolution-team-transitioning-to-thief-4/

"According to an interview with Eurogamer, full scale production of Thief 4 (or, for the tasteless among you, Thi4f) has begun with a large push in the Eidos Montreal offices. With the nearing completion of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the studio’s workforce has been split, with the majority focused on Thief 4. "

That would indicate yes, that most of the team that was on DEHR went to Thief. At one time. Post-shakeup, I dunno.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eidos_Montreal tells us that they've only done DEHR, Tomb raider Multiplayer and Thief. So, unless TR MP sucked up an entire team, logic would indicate the majority of the DEHR team is on Thief. Barring layoffs, of course.

On the other hand, the DEHR art director is "+ Art Director of Deus Ex: Human Revolution ++ Eidos/Square Enix +++ Currently developing the visual design for an unannounced game ++++ twitter.com/Jonatchoo "

Judging from the faces in the photo, much of the DEHR team is on Thief, with the producers and directors being new. This is worrisome to me, since I found DEHR to be so good, barring boss foolishness.

A major fuck up imo. Doing an immediate sequel to DX:HR would have made so much more sense. That's where the revival is right now, not with steampunk.

Well, there is Dishonoured, as you reminded me. Did quite well.

Although if the DEHR art director is working on an unannoucnced game and the DEHR producer is invisible...what could they be working on for EM? DE sequel?

I hope so. I don't see DE:HR art director's hand in these thief screenshots. He had a more distinctive style that was unfortunately watered down in the final game. Just speculation...

Mm. true. The early shots were quite dramatic, very sleek and renaissance. The final product was..less so. Not sure why. Hardware requirements? Too daring?

I would prefer a Deus Ex than a Thief, but the latter has been long so let's see. And there hasn't been any word on the DE Human Defiance either, could there be still a chance that is the unannounced game?

"We wanted to keep the main DNA of who Garrett was; we didn't want to change that much because it was working already," game director Nicolas Cantin said. But, "we wanted to bring in more of the modern audience of the console market."

"Fans remember the original games very fondly and we want to preserve that essence which we have excellent experience of doing at Eidos Montreal, whilst also introducing Thief to a brand new, next-generation, audience," Eidos Montreal general manager Stephane D'Astous said at the game's official announce.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna skip on this game.

That is very annoying, ppl dismissing something even before they see it. I remember all those whining about the Tomb Raider reboot. Even I was skeptical but I still went ahead and pre-ordered hoping for a decent game to play. And the result? 'in your face' to all in such a lot.

Words like "console market", "mainstream" and "modern audience" don't inspire much faith with me.

I hate to agree with Lesinar - because his avatar is a damn prettyboy - but he has a point, Aditya. Those words are fine in context with a junk-food style game, fun for awhile and then forgotten.

For Thief, a game we've come to associate with a much deeper level of theme and gameplay, it's worrying and disappointing. Still, I'll wait until reveals come out. Eidos Montreal pleased me immensely with DEHR, after all.

Guybrush Threepwood is an actual Cabin Boy. Boy is even in his TITLE. Which is a good thing, otherwise you might forget.

While complete darkness was a big factor in the earlier Thief games, it made it difficult for players to see what was going on.

Well, it may turn out to be an OK game, but it won't be Thief.
