Things that should definitely be included in an upcoming patch

Right so I am on my first play through of TW3. This is also the first one in the series I have played. I am playing it on a PS4. It is a good game for the most part with a lot of thought been put into the story, however there are some things that it is lacking which I feel will add not only to the experience but also to the re-playability of the game instead of just switching to a more difficult level.

Inventory, Buying and Storage
There are a few posts on this forum where the OP are asking for more inventory filtering and categories. I 2nd this. Also when browsing a merchant's items we need to have some indication added to diagrams and recipes and maps etc that we already have purchased or the item is in our inventory or already in our crafting list so that it is not purchased again. Or just don't even show the item if it is already part of the player's inventory somewhere.

I have also seen some posts where players have asked for static storage like a vault in a bank or something. I appreciate the fact that the game tries to establish some authenticity by overburdening you when you are carrying to much but seriously we need to have access to a bank or something if we are to keep old witcher gear to craft upgrades especially if we are wearing something else at the time. Same goes for crafting and alchemy components.

Also since we craft a potion once and once only and since some of the ingredients are then never used again some way to see that it is not necessary to have those obsolete or loot those obsolete ingredients anymore.

Quests
Quests need to have more filters please. For instance filter by difficulty or dependance on other quests. Also the quest system should be dynamic enough to see when something is completed already and then skip to that part of the chain, for instance not been able to complete the Dirty Funds quest in White Orchard (it is still in my quest log) because you have looted the chest before reading the letter.

Ability Points
Seriously, whoever thought to charge a flat rate of 1000 crowns to redo ability points is just retarded. Ability points are one of the most important character customization aspects that there are and as such, if you are anything like me, you want to play around with everything to see what works and what doesn't. As such there should be an easier way of respeccing and it should definitely be cheaper. if you insist on charging for this then at least make it a sliding scale based on level or amount of points spent. In a game like this respeccing is an integral part of playing and feeling like you are locked into a spec because it is too costly and too much of a schlep to go and find a potion is really a big spoiler.....for me.

Witcher Gear
Just like Ability Points, the green witcher gear is also an integral part of character development. In fact it is closely tied to ability point spend with you been able to enhance the specific gear attributes. But currently the green witcher gear is just not enticing enough.

Firstly there is a quite a time sink into getting the patterns and then at higher levels getting the tools and npcs to create the good gear. However there is junk gear to be had from caches all over the world that at similar levels are the same or better. I see that witcher gear is something that we really want because it is what makes a witcher more special. There should be some OOOOOO-Ahhhhhhh factor to it.

Please consider making the green witcher gear more powerful or more adaptable that similar junk gear. For instance maybe add set bonuses where having a certain number of a set of feline gear increases a certain attribute radically. I know I can spend an ability point to do something similar but that is not the same thing.

Also a note on all gear. it would be really cool.....really really cool if we could see some kind of indication (like on the swords) of the runes that are socketed on gear.

Combat
For the most part I like the combat system. However I would really like to be able to see mob levels from farther away so I don't insta-squash myself on something that is too high for me. Also some way to manually put myself into combat mode instead of been pummeled by arrows from a distance because I can't block because the combat mode hasn't engaged. That is really frustrating.

Control System
For the most part I find the control system to be adequate but there are some flaws. For instance having to get of off Roach to interact with sign posts. That makes no sense. Also the fact that I have to start galloping in order to execute a jump??? Really. This really is frustrating and impacts severely on the flow of things. Finally, the PS4 is a console. It can handle multiple control inputs simultaneously. Please consider using this functionality. I can't right now specifically think of an instance of this but I know I get frustrated when I am trying to do something like loot and run right past. Then have to turn around like a retarded ant stuck in tree sap and wait a second for the game to respond to jerkily move more forward.

Speaking of which. Area looting. Now that would be an awesome feature.

Saving
In my opinion, a game like this should not have a save feature. If you die you should have to run back to your body or something and resurrect. The reason for this is that there is no real consequences for dying. All the tutorials say you should prepare for a fight. Research in the bestiary and use the correct oils, but if you die you just reload your saved game and try again. There is no real consequence.

The only consequence is if you have been running around for an hour, not doing quests so the auto-save has not run, and you die and then have to do all that progression again. Thats when a controller goes through a tv. If saving is such a big part of the game and it is felt that that is how it must be played then at least lets have an auto-save feature with a settable timer that can be enabled and disabled.

Thanx.
