This game COULD be great, but it needs a lot of work

First off, it takes forever to get into a game. I either crash or someone else crashes and disconnects the whole lobby. After several (and by several I mean MANY) tries I finally got into a game. Here are my thought.

TOOLTIPS (!!!) - It took me ages to get into the first game and by then I forgot the rules. My suggestion is to have tooltips that can be turned on and off in an options menu. Also have a quick gude that you can quickly look at mid-game. I didn't know how many VPs I need or how many quests I need to complete.
SIMULTANIOUS TURNS - It's pretty boring to wait for other people since it can take a bit long to figure out what you want to do. You might want to consider a simultanious turn based system where you finish your turn and wait for other people to finish theirs if you are quick. The order of players could come into play at the end of the game if there's a draw, or if a player has met the victory conditions he has to wait for the one before him in the order.
TRADE SYSTEM - You might want to consider adding a trade system because a game drags on quite long. This would add an other layer and spice up the game, also making it a bit shorter. Or this could be in a seperate game mode or an option that you can vote for in the lobby.
DON'T END THE GAME JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE LEAVES - A game can be pretty long and if someone leaves he should just be declared a looser and the rest should continue playing. There's no need to kill the game entirelly.

Some ideas should you decide not to include simultanious turns
Spectators should be able to watch battles. If two or more characters are in the same area they should be able to participate in the battle for gold or other goodies. You should be able to see your quest ALL THE TIME! Even on the opponent's turn.

This is it so far, I hope you will consider some of my suggestions! On a positive note, the artstyle is exceptionally good, although I'd like the roads to be easier to see as right now it kind of blends in the board when I look at it. The music is beautiful as ever, but I hope you'll add some more music tracks later on. I also expect the player figurines to be fully textured in the final release.

Nice and original suggestions, I wonder if they could find a place in the game.

I totally agree that the roads could have clearer tracks for the roads in general. In several situations it's hard to tell how many connections are there between locations, and there's no way to check before you make the decision.

It would be awesome to have fully textured (and animated) hero figurines!

Was it changed in some patch? I played many games by asking other player to leave to let me test out the game and I was able to continue solo play.

No as far as I know :)

As for the feedback; we will have a new interactive tutorial and tooltips. Doing the terns at the same time is impossible for many reasons but we will give a option to limit the time per turn is the host chooses so.

Also, when Matchmaking, I would suggest that before you start searching for games the player has the option to choose if he wants a 1 quest, a 2 quest or a 3 quest game. Because it can be pretty disadvantageous for the player that chose 3 quest and the others who chose 1. Something that can happen with the current system, everyone choosing at the same time.

I checked today, and was able to stay in the game after someone left, so I can confirm that it hasn't changed.

The original post wasn't talking about ending the game when there's only 1 player though, but rather that the game isn't terminated when there are still 2 or more players left. and someone leaves (there's only 3 situations where this applies: when the numbers of players is reduced from 4 to 3, from 4 to 2, or from 3 to 2). I suppose OP is talking about a hypothetical situation that worries him. I agree, the game shouldn't finish like that as long as there's at least 2 players.

Currently there's no danger of it, and although the game not ending when there's only 1 player left isn't a desirable way for things to work, it's still useful now in beta since there's no solo mode. :)

Game stays when one player leaves.
We started 3 player game.
1st player did his turn, passed it on.
2nd player is in the middle of his turn and 1st player leaves.
2nd player continues his turn, then passes it to me (3rd player).
We played for around 15-20 turns - only 2 of us left in the game.
Then the other player left - I have stayed in the game alone.
Around 3 turns later I was able to complete 3rd quest and finish the game (it was set for 3 quests).
