This game... All I will say is the honeymooning pahse right now feels right! Just keep coming back for more. 
This is "once in a decade" game that simply outclasses any would be competitors...for now, we have AAA league and above it the CDPR league.
Off the mark, but have the developers mentioned Gothic II as their inspiration when it comes to open world exploration? Since that game I've never played one that feels as rewarding.

Yep, this is the best game I ever played in my whole damn life. It blew all my old favorites, Gothic series included, out of the water. The Witcher 3 is a real masterpiece, a work of art. The only problem I see is that now I will measure every RPG and adventure game by TW3 standards, and all of them (except future CRPR's games, of course ) will fall short. You guys are just too good, and already irreversibly spoiled (or should I say, corrupted) us, and now we will demand much more from all other devs out there.

It would've been the best game ever if only cdpr didn't cut the sexy herbalist. Why cdpr, whyyyy... Just kidding ofcourse.
The atmosphere is still not on the level of the TW1 imo. But I guess that was a special case where everything just, you know, fitted. The graphic style + music perhaps.
I'm only gaming for +- 5 years, so I don't have as much gaming experience as some other people. But for me, if I look at the whole package, this is surely the best game I've ever played.

I feel so jealous. Managed to play "only" for 16 hours since tuesday. Even had to sacrifice half of my sleeping time (from 6 to 3 hours currently) to achieve that... and this weekend we get family visitors....argh... and damn my head hurts from not sleeping enough... but yeah the Witcher was worth it so far.
I share in the feelings stated by many that this game is a masterpiece. Well handled and considered on all fronts to be compared to other greats and in the end surpass them in most respects.

Indeed best game in years. Keep up the good work! CDRP knows what they are doing! And love that this is a complete SP game and doesn't have a multiplayer so that there is room for more SP. Details are amazing, gameplay is amazing, grapichs ate amazing. Every single bit about this game is amazing!!!!!

I agree with the OP. I haven't even left the very first village yet (I have limited time to play this week) and I can't wait to dive into it more. One of the things I noticed is that this game has an incredible atmosphere and this is coming just from the very first village!

That's what i've been thinking.With this hype I was expecting to be dissapointed at some point. But the game exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely brilliant game so far. I'm 23 hours in according to Gog Galaxy yet I've only begun to scratch the surface of Velen. Congrats to the all the wonderful and beatiful CDPR devs. I knew the game was going to be good but it has surpassed my expectations in every single way.
Well, I've already kissed my girlfriend goodbye ahead of time for this game, LOL. This game is amazing in the amount of detail, it's atmosphere, and it's storytelling. The whole back story to the Noonwraith was very moving and it made me feel like I needed to avenge these people if I could. It's been a rare game that has drew me so much that I lose track of time, forget to eat, forget about the girlfriend, etc.. LOL.
So a big thank you to CDPR for making the Witcher series an amazing, and brilliant series. The Witcher 3 is most definitely your magna opus!

I just wanted to add my voice to this great crowd of Witcher lovers. CDPR, I have been with you guys since the first Witcher game. It was a little rough at launch and yet I watched you guys continue to pour in your effort and creativity and make it into a masterpiece. The Witcher 2 was great but I continued to play it as you tweaked here and there and it became one of my all time favorite games. And now with the Witcher 3 what is there to say. You guys have come so far, learned so much and made a game that is incomparable. I can honestly say there are NO OTHER developers like you guys and that shows. It has been a pleasure to play your games and I can feel your heart and soul coming through. Count me in on your next project! Congrats!
