Bill and Ted failed their history final, even with help of Rufus. As a result, Ted is sent to a military academy in Alaska. Soon after he is pressured into enlisting in a Corpo Army to fight in the Central American Conflict. Bill joins as well to reunite with his friend and ends up taking a bullet for Ted in Mexico. Ted holds onto his dog tags in memory of his friend. Ted loses and arm, gets an Arasaka military grade prosthesis, becomse disillusioned, deserts and upon returning to the US changes his name to Johnny Silverhand and forms the band Samarai. HIs first meeting with Kerry goes poorly as Kerry has to inform him at gunpoint that yelling the word f** as a grade school pejorative is not acceptable.
Johnny develops a pathologically hatred for Arasaka and other Corporations because he literally saw a future that was a Utopia for all mankind. He is unable to reconcile the fact that his failures lead to the dystopia he now inhabits, so he lashes out at the Corporations, blaming them for stripping humanity of its intended future.
Like I said, only partly joking about this. It may actually be my new head canon.
