I still don't get it. The Witcher books are not translated to english yet? I've read czech versions which have briliant translation.

I'm reading the fan translation of Sword of Destiny and loving it. I'll buy any books of the series published in English to support the author.

what is that? is it a second book from the witcher saga? does it mean, there is no official translation of it? wow, now i'm glad i could read whole story in czech language, which was brilliant. especially loved dwarwen language, haha

edit: we have these books here (czech language), that are in paperback edition:

Horrible cover art.

Anyway, maybe the pentalogy will be fully translated in the next years. These things take time. For example the last book of the series released in Germany only two years ago.

I'm reading God's warriors (the second book of Hussite Wars trilogy) and I can't tell whether I like it or not. Sometimes it is just boring and sometimes I love it. Maybe mainly because I live not far from Prague and study in Prague where the story takes place so I know all those places well. I guess I will read it to the end but it will take me some time. Everytime I go back to Witcher books I just can't help myself and read all 7 books at once. My longest reading took month and half, the shortest about 3 weeks.

Even if I don't like those czech cover arts, they are far better than others that I've seen. I think that worst are spanish versions.

It's actually pretty ridiculous they still have to be translated to English... Quite a lot of european languages already have their own translations of it. Though the dutch ones are also quite slow (only Last Wish and Sword of Destiny have been translated so far).

Really? i personally though that the cover art of the live actors portraying different characters was pretty cool.

To be honest this would ruin the Witcher 3 if I read it,because the thing about Geralt surviving death and the wild hunt wouldn't be canon, and if it isn't cannon, then playing the games doesn't feel right and everything is just confusing. The same universe yet 2 different universes starting from the "death" of Geralt. My weak puny mind would be blown by all the confusion.

Err... you do realize that the Saga ends with Geralt's death and that there is no canon for afterwards (, yet)? There's nothing to confuse, really. The 'game timeline' begins after the 'canon timeline' ended, simple as that.

I've finished the german version of the books around 2 years ago.
The localization is brilliant and I don't get why it hasn't been brought to the english audience yet.

Could it be because of low sales in the US/UK ?

More likely, timid publishers. It takes an executive willing to put his job on the line for an author who does not already have a following in the English speaking world. Gollancz used to be fearless that way, but now they are a tiny unit of Hachette Livre.

The scarcity of professional translators who can render Polish in good literary English doesn't help, either. Danusia Stok's translations haven't set the world on fire, but there are few alternatives to her.
