I replayed some oldies in the past year and I'd like to revise my list.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011). Reserving this for Cyberpunk 2077 (2020).

Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game (1997)

L.A. Noire (2011) Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (1997). Aged incredibly well. Gorgeous character artwork by Ayami Kojima. Breathtaking music, plenty of exploration, responsive controls, gorgeous sprites and story, that spawned animated series. Glad I picked this game again. I forgot how special it was for me 20 years ago. Turns out, it still is.

The Last of Us (2013) Resident Evil 4 (2005). I hated this game and what it did to the survival series and even movies based on the games till a few years ago when I rediscovered it. On it's own it's a bloody console TPP action masterpiece. From incredible art direction, that holds up even today, to tight, intense game design. Excellent voice acting. Self awareness in writing, humor and direction. Too bad game devs learned wrong lessons from it. It spawned mindless action with matrix-y set pieces.

Mass Effect (2007). Arcanum: Of Steamworks & Magick Obscura (2001). I was really into steampunk this year and Arcanum was big part of it. The game itself is in rather sketchy shape even after fan patches, but good overcomes bad and in the end it's one of kind experience and setting.

Good question. So actually I am very very picky on games, the number of my favorite games is not able to reach 10. Here's my list.

I only ever go for games that interest me, and despite that have managed to acquire 788 games on Steam and 121 on GoG, and I have also a sizeable collection of CDs and several consoles, so saying that I have over 1000 games is just a fact. So, with that in mind, out of the 10 that come to mind as standing out as amazing experiences that I love dearly, I can't really rank them, as I find them all to be truly amazing in their own right;

Nah, as far as i remember, i played vanilla, and it was long ago, when i was, like, 12 yrs old. Even though it was a buggy mess back then, i loved it. Maybe someday i'd get some free time and play it again, with all the bugfixes and cut content restored by a community patch. Wanna play as a guardian/marauder or consular/sith lord, simply because i like that batsh*t insane bucket of bolts HK-47

Buy it on steam and go to the community mods. With a single click, you'll have almost all cut content added back from 'the sith lord restoration' patch... and a whole new planet to explore, as well. With tslrp + droid planet, i dare to say the Obsidian sequel might top Bioware's KOTOR 1.

The first game that hit me a lot was Ori and the blind forest and although the storyline got bored of me quite quickly, I was still enchanted by the beautiful graphics. I also add Witches 3 to my list, despite the fact that it took me a long time to understand how to embrace the open world. On position number 3 there will be A way out - a game for two on xbox - I RECOMMEND VERY MUCH, perfect for cold evenings for two, when you want to start your gray cells a bit: D
My list also includes Escape from Tarkov - a fun game when you need to de-stress
