I'll take an educated guess and say that you like JRPGs. I am still a bit doubtful, though, because you've put FF8 on the list, but not FF9. The latter being the true sleeper hit, outside of FF6.

In my very unauthoritative opinion XII > VI > VII > X (haven't played any of the others). I'm not sure why I like XII more than most people do, but I really liked it a ton. It's the only FF game that made my top 10 list.

I don't personally rank XII better than VI, VII, VIII or X but I do consider it in the same realm of quality as those games and would rank it above IX which is probably not common with fans of the series. I own but have yet to play FFXII: The Zodiac Age on PS4 and look forward to revisiting it with the new battle system whenever I get around to it.
