I always get a chuckle out of that scene. Triss probably ruined Criri's sword, there, as she softened the steel, by heating it almost to white.
If it is sword from the books it can't ne so easy ruined.
She heated it and then put in in something cold- hardening of steel, in lack of water ice will do

I considered that, but was uncertain just how cold the huntsmen actually are. I would expect at least some slight deformation or bending of the blade, though, from the impact through the armour.
Well it`s Ciri`s sword, probably some badass sword, who know where she get it, in which world or time
