*In gravelly Doug Cockle voice*
"So, uh, it's good to see you all again.....uhh....yeah....so nothing I've done here in the last few years isn't my fault.....I,uh, I had amnesia. Yen? Uh, hey, what are you doing? Put down that pitchfork please. Yen? YEN?? Triss, a little help here? Why are you looking at me like that! Ciri! Come on, Ciri, you've got to believe me that all those whores in Flotsam didn't mean anything. Or the Elf I saved. Or that succubus. Hey, why do all of you have pitchforks now? WHERE DID ALL THESE PITCHFORKS COME FROM?!?!"

It is interesting that the character display graphic has Yen & Triss equidistant either side of Geralt. Perhaps the second playable character will be - in an updated edition of TW2's Roche vs Iorveth choice - pick Triss or Yen and fight against the other for the obvious trophy. And we're not talking a Gwent face-off ;)

But, I hear you say, where would Shani fit in ? Yes RED's... where does Shani fit in ? And is this the end of the reveals for a while like the seemingly full page suggests ?

I was never a big fan of Triss... When I started playing the first Witcher game I hadn't read any of the books, and she still gave me the creeps. Asking someone with amnesia to marry you and help you raise someone else's kid.... She just came off as desperate and weird... Then when I started reading the books and realized she took advantage of a sticky situation between Geralt and Yen, I liked her even less. I haven't read the books that aren't out in English, so I still don't feel like I have a complete picture of her in my head, but as time has passed I guess I'm seeing her as being more realistic for her flaws... So I don't dislike her as much.

But still,
Yen all the way.

fair enough thats why a choice should exist I have read the five books (in germany they are already available) and I still like Triss more
don't get me wrong Yennefer is still a good character but for me its Triss all the way

The scars that the sorceresses from Sodden Hill carry are not explicitly physical. Yennefer was blinded (and presumably heavily scarred) but is by the time of the books only terrified of the dark (cannot sleep without a light). Triss was burnt and scarred and would "never again" wear low necklines... though I always read this as being a mental scarring given the descriptions of other sorcerers and their ability to regenerate/heal (and the known correction of the typical deformities of those 'thrown' to the schools of sorcery).

Triss is also explicitly depicted as terrified, fearing to stand and fight (horrified by her relief she is not at Brenna, almost undone by her fear when forced to face it later). She is transformed during her final stand in Lady of the Lake, and now may no longer be psychologically scarred in this way...

Nothing explicit is said in the books either way, but this is entirely consistent with all other magic users within this world, and her allergy to magic is only for certain forms ~ ironically elixirs, given the first main fetch quest of W1 (which is a bigger lore break than whether her neckline is low or high).

I'm looking forward to another scene with Geralt and Triss similar to the one in Elven ruins in TW2 :)

As I explained in my poem on another thread, I plan on choosing none. But I hope I can see both naked and still be free from them hahah

Can't have a proper love triangle with only Geralt, Triss & Yen as the vertices, two edges would be love and one would be hate...

But if you move Geralt to the centre of the geometry and put Shani on his old spot, the love radiates inwards & outwards (rhythmically) , and all the edges are hate...

The math doesn't lie ;)

I just cannot resist red hairs, wether it's in a game or in real life. I'd pick a red hair over a blonde, brunette, or black haired any day.
