More just like heart burn. Lately when I've been visiting the CDPR forums, I feel like I'm having PTSD from my days on the Bioware social network.
I wish people could just agree to disagree and stop trying to persuade one another that Yenn or Triss is better, or that reading Andrzej Sapkowski's works is a prerequisite to understanding the games.
First of all, soz, I'm catching up so I'll probably be quoting older posts. Secondly I quite agree. I just want both romances to be treated with equal respect which they currently are not. I see both characters as being central to the plot.
Perhaps but for most of us it's about respecting both romance options equally which the game currently does not. Yen has far more material available than Triss who is reduced to a background NPC for a large portion of the game. For a character so central to the previous two games that's a strange decision to put it lightly. I don't think it's unreasonable to either have our The Witcher 2 decisions respected or at the very least an explanation as to why they aren't, specifically why we've broken up with someone we never broke up with.Wow, skimmed through a bit here but I can't keep up with all these posts lol!
My thoughts.
I honestly don't believe major changes need to be made for Triss and it seems like too many demands are being made to the point where I don't think many people are going to be happy once they do implement more Triss content. IMO, only two things need to be changed.
I have nothing against the character of Yen, I don't dislike the character, I don't want her material altered in any negative way, I don't think you're an idiot if you choose to romance her, I simply do not wish to do that myself for continuity reasons and I don't consider that an unreasonable stance to take. Clearly, when it comes to the current game design, CDPR did so we'd like that to be looked at and the decision reconsidered. As it stands, TW3 is closer to a stand alone game and not a sequel which it's meant to be.
