True, I better re-phrase it - with all I know about her character from the books, it's very difficult for me to assume Triss would be capable of something like that. It doesn't fit her character, plain and simple. Sure, she's no angel, she slept with her best friend's man, but practically raping him? I don't buy it, that's way too dark for her.Are there any words about this in books? I don't recall. Who called them best friends?
I wouldn't recall anything about best friends either but very good friends.
Don't recall if that was explicitly stated, but neither of them seems to have any other friend they are closer to than each other. Both of them were close with Coral too, I guess, Yen is close with Rita, but that's about it...

I think the important thing is that Yennefer is more important to Triss than Geralt is -- and possibly vice versa. I think Yen also says it directly somewhere. Dunno about labels like "best friends" but there's some value to that.
Ehhhh, my interpretation is this: she coerced him into sex using questionable methods. As I said a few posts back - if there's magic involved at all to seduce someone, it's a violation. Like roofieing someone. Reading this paragraph, I get the vibes that she doesn't want to think about her magical influence over him but more about how she took advantage of a moment in time. Most people who take advantage of someone in this way deny their part to play in the turn of events. She doesn't believe she did the wrong thing. She doesn't even seem to think about the fact that she had to go through all of that effort to get the witcher's affections shows that any attempt at being in a normal relationship initiated in a normal way is futile.
The main quest - Fires of Novigrad - will lead you to Triss.
She did use a little bit magic - not a perfume - after that Geralt never slept with her anymore (books).

Too bad that Lodge is not exist. I would enjoy more quests with Triss. Especially in political sphere.
It's not said what was used, but Glamour would easily apply, which basically does what @Basterax is describing.
That also implies it was more then one.. incident. And all of it was of Geralt's own free will. It may have been wrong for Triss to sleep with her friends man but it was definitely not rape or any of the sorts.
And considering that it was during "break up" - nothing bad.

Triss knew how Yennefer felt about Geralt...I think what she did was wrong . I personally wouldn't do that to my best friend even with her ex-bf.
