Trouble installing Language Pack and EE

When i try to install the Language Pack I get the error message "Please register The Witcher before installing The Witcher Enhanced Edition Actualization Pack."

I have Resigtered in the game's launcher with my CD-key several times. The launcher tell me "Thank you for registering your game". Then when i click the link to set up my Thewitcher.com account there is a "Certificate Error: Navigation Blocked" error with the website. ( https://secure.thewitcher.com/login/?l=3 )

Does anyone know what is causing this problem? As far as i know my game should now be fully registered.

Helpful? I'm not sure if it's any good with your language pack problem, but I guess that's how you'll get it patched to EE and maybe the language packs are working afterwards.

The 1.4 link from that page requires me to have the proper language packs installed. I will try it again though.

so, you've installed the game, then patch 1.4, and then you get this error on the language pack?
what language pack? what language is the original game in?
did you get patch 1.4 now or you had it already?

I am having this same issue. Installed an old retail version of the game, launched it, registered it using a new account and the registration key included in the manual. Everything seems OK and the unpatched game launches successfully.

But when I attempt to run the Enhanced Edition 1.4 patch (TWEE_Upgrade.exe), I get to a screen that says "The installer will confirm if you have a properly registered game copy. An active internet connection is required to complete this check."

This is followed by an error message saying "Please register The Witcher before installing The Witcher Enhanced Edition - Actualization Pack"

I'm sure that I have to get this patch to apply successfully before installing the language pack, and then patch 1.5. But I'm stuck. I've searched everywhere I can think of and have not found a solution. Any advice?

I suspect I found the answer. I had downloaded the 1.4 patch a few months ago, and it looks like Projekt Red has since posted a version of the patch that does not require registration. http://en.thewitcher.com/the-witcher/1/

I'm going to try that file and see how it goes.
