Try the Enhanced Edition demo on Gaikai for free!

Still on the fence about buying the Enhanced Edition of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings? Gaikai, the cloud gaming technology that allows you to play the latest high-end video games instantly in your web browser, is now offering a demo of the Assassins of Kings for free.
Whether youre an avid console gamer or a hardcore PC player, all you need is a high-speed internet connection and the free Java plugin to enjoy our title on your computer, laptop or a tablet in the matter of moments. The demo is time-limited and you can play it for 30 minutes before it ends. You can try out all of the different modes our game has to offer like the tutorial, the arena or if you just want to get to the main dish - simply start a new adventure.
Dont wait any longer and play it now on Gaikais official website. Alternatively you can also access it via facebook.

I just had to give it a spin. Now I know how it looks like on PC (don´t think it was maxed) and this was a good proof that 360 version is really really well done. 360 version is smooth and looks good. Only once I have hitted framerate issues (ACT II and the golem fight in a cave), but I have feeling that fight just glitched somehow. Still, great game on both platforms. Haven´t ordered PC version, but that time shall come very very soon.. Time to fry my athlon x2 +4400 :)

E: I just had to link Gakai demo on a Finnish console gaming site, mayhaps few will try and better yet, buy

You should have mentioned this months ago when it first came out! I can only tell so many people.

Why hasn't anyone told me about Gaikai before?

The Gaikai version was what convinced me to buy the game on PC many moons ago. I'd highly recommend it to people wanted to try it out before committing to a purchase. :)

Obviously it doesn't look as good as the actual pc version on your resolution but it's enough to convince many.

Ah well hopefully this spreads the word around but a real demo available for download could would good also. I know people who get worried about trying to run a newer game not that I expect a demo anytime soon.

Gaikai is a cloud gaming service like Onlive except you can play games through your browser. I told you now! I managed to get a couple of friends to demo Witcher 2 through Gaikai and they bought it eventually.

Tested it out. Runs on high at 1280 x 720 I think. Looks good enough and runs smoothly.

How are you guys accessing the games? I'm using Comodo's Dragon browser (chrome) and I think I've an issue with either Java or Flash (did a reinstall on the latest updates before). I also tried two different VPNs (one UK and one US) to see if it was locked to different countries. I live in Sweden.

Could anyone help me? I would love to use this kind of service because I hate to buy new games without full on experience.

Likewise as Nadnovski, i wanted to see this just out of curiosity, but it keeps asking to install a java plugin, now ive done this, well manually as it woouldnt let me do it but i still get the same problem.

Works like a breeze on Firefox. Takes about 30 seconds to launch a new game. It is awesome.

It was pretty fun on Gaikai. Hopefully us OnLive users will have our version soon. Then we'll be able to play it on our Android tablets and phones, too. :p That aside, TW2 is a joy to play, regardless of what platform it's being played on. Keep up the fantastic work, CDPR!

To be honest it`s been that way since Sony bought Gaikai out . I`m sure it has something to do with having game cloud streaming for the PS4 . But I honestly don`t know if they will ever have demo`s for anything other than Sony titles available .

I just bought it last week and finished the Easy mode very quickly. The story was attractive, the combat was creative, I couldn't stop at all. The only pity was that I followed the main path too much, I played without checking the manual or the forum, and missed most of the side quests, nice weapons and armours, and relaxing / humorous parts in it. This is also because killing the Bosses requires no top-class equipments, but heavily requires a good observation and a good strategy, which allows the players to enjoy the story when we are not familiar with everything yet.

Now I am playing normal mode. It is already challenging but still very enjoyable once you found out how to deal with one situation from another.
