Before before before: games were decided by silver spies (+summoning circle).
Before before: games were decided who had better merigold halestorm or shupe.
Before: games were decided who drew bomb heaver (and who didn't).
Today: games are decided who has better heatwave target.
Nothing is changed.
I disagree, of course key cards are always important, however there are so many substitutes for Heatwave, even against greedy decks, you can also always use Geralt etc to punish them, not everyone is running Heatwave and even in the open there were several times Heatwave got less than 10 points.
Due to the game being a card game it will always be somewhat draw dependent, however the game is a lot, lot, lot less binary than it ever was before in its history and to be honest I would rather understand your point if you would complain about drawing key golds (like Gedyneith) and the issues if missing them even in Round 3.
There appears to also have been a new coin leeked. A sun on it, and the same four letters as on the cardback.

A rather angry-looking sun.
Ties to Nilfgaard, what looks like a form of pseudo-ascension, horrific experiment or something else and the constant reminder of the word MAGE, is the new journey for Vilgefortz ???
Honestly a Vilgefortz journey would be kind of cool and an ideal item to equip would be the iron staff Vilgefortz uses in the books to beat Geralt to a pulp during their first confrontation.
My prediction would be an expansion centered around the books (which would be supported by the image of Strygga castle or Thanedd) and a journey based on Vilgefortz or mages more in general, although the journeys thus far have always been focused on one character, so ...
Also after the Ciri Journey and constantly seeing even the most unfitting images (like the last ornaments) I am starting to feel less and less bad for her, considering what Vilgefortz intends to do with her.
