Tw1 & 2

Is there any horse riding mechanics in TW1 and TW2? Also, I know I cannot use a gamepad for TW1, but how about TW2? 1 is great so far, but I would really like to see some sort of traversing the outside world parts.

Nope there is no horse riding in either game . There will be in Witcher 3 . In both Witcher 1 and 2 the areas are not so large that you would need a horse .

Xbox controller is supported on Witcher 2 . For other controllers you need something like Xpadder or motioninjoy .

There are no Mounts in either TW1 or 2, the areas simply aren't large enough to justify it, but they are still large enough to enjoy traversing them on foot. However the areas are fully explorable (Minus the invisible walls here & there) & it honestly doesn't take that long to run around the place. Also as a tip, in TW1 you can draw your sword out & activate Fast Style & you will run much faster (Plus you'll already have your Sword out if you get into Combat).

You can use a Gamepad for TW2, either you can get the 360 version, or if you play on the PC then you can plug in a PS3/360 controller & use. I'm not 100% sure if it requires Steam to work, but Steam was what I booted the game from when I tried to use the Controller & it worked fine.

You can also use a PS3 controller, you just have to download motioninjoy which is a free program and works great.

No horses or mounts of any kind exist in the Witcher games as of yet.

Fortunately they've decided to wait with implementing mounts and focusing instead on the important shit.

Thanks again guys! I'll have to look into motionjoy. There's just something about using a keyboard and a mouse that feels too unnatural to me. I suppose it's because I'm not used to it. Using gamepads just seem easier.
