Actually, it is nothing wrong with your PC or OS. It's the adventure problem. Deceits are know to be buggy. All, that can be done is keep trying to play.

Thanks. podstepy.adv is the old version file of the adventure for those would like to change it with the new file. I really enjoyed it. I liked the story.

I liked the black mage and investigation plot. Side quests were fun. Enemies' (bosses') helath points were well balanced. Dershan's estate and his cellar was well designed. I liked the dialogues.

a)Exactly how was I supposed to get the sex card with the gossiper? I tried gifting her roses, tulips and every shawl, glove and jewellry piece in the merchant's stock but she didn't respond to anything!b)Where exactly was the giant Echinops? I never found it anywhere near the ruins.c)This last problem appears to be a bug: if I kill Roven and then inform the Guardsman at the Inn that Nevor=Roven the dialog option to tell him that I killed Nevor doesn't come. Instead he just says to go find Nevor's hideout(already done) and the 'Fugitive' quest is in limbo.

I'm replying because Toshkoto's answer actually helped me. I did a search on Deceits' walkthrough and found what I was looking for here. I could find megaechinopsis after reading his answer.

a) I gave her a gold women's gloves to get her card.b) This is answered by Toshkoto. There are some ruins to the south of the ruins area which is marked with a campfire on the map. It's there. The dead body probably is Maya's who has been killed by the real suspect before. Her name and killing mentioned in suspect's book. I think it's Maya since her amulet has an "M" behind it.c) I never killed Roven since he turned out to be innocent after some investigation.

It's buggy like hell. At the final boss battle the evil guy simply leaves me knocked down after I lower his HP to ~40%. He says some hablablablabla spell and challenges me to defeat his demon. The "demon" does not spawn in the cellar but in the guy's room only! Meanwhile my Geralt happily walks to the mage in a cutscene thingy. The wraith of course starts to stab him in the back.. OK no problemish. I'm with an overdosed angry mutant so they are no match. BUT after the boss dies there is no quest update. Journal says I still have to follow him and make sure he can't escape this time -.- Oooh and the nun simply disappears
