TW1: Damage of the steel swords?

Hello people,

I am playing again TW1 and i am wondering something. What the damage of the steel swords actually means?

For example, the Steel sword of the witchers (the one you get in prologe) have no indicator, but all the other swords have a negative damage indicator. The temerian swords says it has a - 10% of damage. It means the Steel sword of the witchers does more damage than the temerian swords? For example, the Illegal swords has a -30% of damage: does it means all the other swords with negative damage are worst than the one you get at prologe?

DMG is based on your skill (strong steel, quick silver, group steel etc.). If sword have "-10% dmg" then it's -10%. If sword have no any kind of information about dmg than it doesn't modify your skill dmg.
