No restart needed. New changes will work with saved games. Now unfortunately you'll need to farm a bit. Tommorow I'll release new version with:- higher experience rewards from monsters,- lowered ifrit accuracy in fight with Azar (Act 2),- lowered wraiths armor from Rat quest,- restored food stacking firx from version 1.0.1.3,- because oil preperation talent is notoriusly ignored by many players in Act 1 until it's too late, oil preperation requires no intelligence anymore,- gray stamina bar fixed,- often ineffective % dmg bonus on normal and hard difficulty replaced with constant +5 dmg bonus,- information about big difference between hard and insane difficulty added at beggining of the game,- explanation of negative armor penetration added to weapons descritpions,- ability to zoom OTS camera to FPP perspective,- drink regeneration description fixed,- Ozzrel recieved regular alghul parameters, before it had 30hp more and 1hp/sec higher regeneration,- changed gradation of difficulty levels

And will this new version implement the food fix bug, and the other bug I talked about a few pages ago?(about the drink displaying 15 endurance per minute instead of 9)btw as DEX is flagged as most important talent, I'm going for full dex, so at 18 I have dex 4, I can't have strength 4, and I guess I'll go to dex 5 before strength 4, or do you think it is a mistake?btw do you think I should put all my talent points into attributes (str, dex, stam, int) before I go for sword styles ? (of course until I reach max attribute I want, in my skill plan I plan str and dex to 5, sta and int to 3...)Thanks

You don't have to get strength 4 before dex 5. My quote is the answer to previous post in which one player had strength 4.No, definitely not. You need damage ASAP and while strength gives +3 dmg for 3 silver talents, strong style gives bonus of +4 damage (level 1 is for free so it's not counted) for 2 silver talents.Stamina is needed to survive but it's subjective choice. One player can survive Act 3 with zero points in Stamina, other needs 3 points or more.Inteligence is not necesary for sword focused witcher. 2 points in INT is enough.Drink regeneration description is also fixed.

Don't remember why I put 3 in int, but it is either because a talent requires it, or for bronze talent at 3 int... Have to check...I think I took it for the bronze talents to do ritual of cleansing, which I find useful to drink potions.Oh btw dunno if this is a bug or not, but in act II I have the bronze talent to be able to use places of power twice, but... when I use a place of power it disappears and I'm unable to find it again, even if I come back a few days later...So you say strong style is the more useful at first and I should put it at 3 asap? But what about group ones for group of drowners, or fast one for armored opponents?Any ETA for your new version? I think I'll start again the game to check new options and talent distribution, but I'll wait for the new version... ;) (should I uninstall old version first, or can I install new one on top of old one?)If I put only two in int, dunno where to put this last silver one, perhaps in a sign, but then it is not really a sword focused witcher, I mean we have enough silver to put all talents to 3 except for signs...Thanks

I've updated the post on last page with list of changes. You really don't need to restart the game. 3 points in intelligence is nothing wrong. Perfectly viable build which allows Igni and Aard level 3.Place of power thingy is not a bug. It was the same in vanilla game. This talent allows you to use place of power twice a day but it doesn't mean that place of power spawns faster. Place of power itself also needs some time to appear.Group and fast style are also very useful but you won't fight with strong armored opponents until Act 3 and you can survive without group style. On the other hand, having strong style at level 1 really makes the game harder. I wonder how did you manage to kill Ozzrel :eek:ETA tomorrow.

I killed ozzrel with many attempts, with necrophage oil, don't remember if I used strong or fast one, but the trick is that I hit and hit and hit, and interrupt him often so he was unable to hit me ;)My goal would be to have every silver talents to the max, and for steel talents to 3 except fast one to 5, for armored opponents. Dunno if this is viable though ;)You know what, I hate farming :)Dunno if this is better to help triss or kill the frightener, the last one gives us a red meteorite, but we have to fight another hound at act I... this is the only consequence, there's nothing more later on?

Probably I can translate the mod into Russian but I have to estimate the required time.Do all the staff to be translated is located in one file ?And if so is it possible to have a look at this file?I also have a note concerning the balance of the mode.It is Act I, the accident with Kalkstein and Salamanders near the Mikula's gate.The problem is that the first action of Salamander mage is burning of Geralt.The probability to be burned is not small as I understand (even with burn protection), and the witcher can not move while burning.So other 4 Salamanders kill him from back in a cut.I suppose that even for insane difficulty in every situation a tactics (with properly chosen talents, buffs and oils) to win should exists.But I am afraid that in this case one have to wait for a luck - not to be burned.

I was not burned in act I in insane difficulty... what I did as soon as the fight begun was to flee far away, and then I forgot the salamanders and kill the mage first. He died fast...

I also hate farming, that's why I lowered max level. I hoped that experience gain from monsters is enough to end the game with level 38-39 and my testers confirmed it but it seems that it requires farming after all. I'll fix that.I like helping Triss better for plot and killing frightener better for reward. I'd choose frightener. You'd need to edit tlk file which is big and contains most of the text from the game. There are >2500 entries and you need to find the ones changed in the mod.There are 4 dialogue files editable in D'jinni and 194 uti files - item templates also editable in D'jinni.About 20-30h of work if you ask me.For tlk files you need TLKedit program. Easy to google.In Act 1 fight on the bridge you can retreat the gate guards if necessary. Just aard the mage ASAP and finish him. The rest is easy.

Something strange with the frightener fight... sometimes I have hard time to fight him, and I ring the bell and so on, and it happened twice that I did nothing and they kill the frightener themselves, without me to have to ring a single bell ^^

I have found only 3 tlk files (dialogs) and all 194 uti.But I still can not understand where skill descriptions are located ???

Yep, it is clear. I have done this several times before posting. But several times I was burned and instantly killed.

Dialog_3.tlk is tlk file, 4 dialogue files have .dlg extensions.

It's not easy. That's why I need a volunteer. I saw dozens and dozens of Russian players wanting Russian version of the mod. I can't do it myself. Maybe ask on Russian forums for help. Also there are lot of questions on foreign forums which I'm unable to answer there. All the answers are in this thread but in English.
