It's possible to buy 2 yellow pieces of meteorite steel and 2 sun runes in act 3. Cause there are two traders for weapons.

These traders share same wares. If you buy from one, same item vanish from other's shop, so no, impossible.

Funny thing about yellow meteorite is that you are unable to obtain it in Act 2 if you do the right thing and expose Azar Javed's machinations. Game encourages you to make a "mistake" and kill innocent Ramsmeat (well, innocent in this quest at least ;) ) if you want to get that yellow ore. It's vanilla game thing of course but on the other hand if Flash could "repair" this in a similar manner he fixed red ore in the prologue it wouldn't hurt. Would it ? ;)

Hey again, Just thought I should let you know that for the intelligence "Knowledge of the Life Ritual" it says it requires a silver talent yet it only takes a bronze talent to select it. Also, nice touch with being allowed to buy Werewolf fur.Edit: Also - I don't know if this was in the original game or not , but I suppose it's worth mentioning... The "Han" plants near the western campfire in the Fields (Act IV) actually contain Berbercaine Fruit for some odd reason. The oddity seems to happen for all the Han plants before the Hanged Mans Tree - afterwards they all contain the proper ingredient... Further Edit: Alright, now apparently this strange feat happens around the deserted mansion.

i jjust finshed act2 on hard, level 19. I think my level was too low because I had trouble with azar/professor and had to redo the fight 3 times. spectre oil on silver, cinfrid on steel, blizzard/swallow/tawny/(blindweed) but toxicity below and I was drunk (for the extra damage). worked not bad but prof/azar kept surrounding me and the prof never came alone so I had to dance around and when they were crippled by pain I "quened" and yrden'd. this way it worked 3rd time with a little luck in positioning at the start of the battle.but since I saw some ppl end act2 on lvl22 I think maybe I reload and grind some more because I did every job there is and still did not get up to 20. is there less xp on hard ?

Thanks for reporting "Knowledge of the Life Ritual" description.Barbecaine in Han is a vanilla game bug. I haven't fixed it because Corylea already did a little mod for that.Sounds like a very good preperation and strategy for this fight.Experience rewards are the same on all difficulty levels. Grinding is not necessary but if you want, Graveirs in Vizima sewers are good source of xp. You can also try more but easier monsters on cemetary at night.

Still enjoying myself with FCR :)Some feedback and a question:1) TalentsKeeping in mind this is my first playthrough of The Witcher ever and using FCR, but I find I'm constantly starved for Silver talents. At one stage I had 7 bronze and 1 gold that I couldn't do anything with because I needed Silver to be able to apply them. Then, when I do get a Silver I can instantly 'max out' that tree with Bronze -- it would kind of be nice if I got to eperience the new level of an ability tree on Silver before fleshing it out and upgrading it with Bronze. As it is, every single time I've got a Silver I've been able to instantly fill out all the Bronze slots. Again, I'm starved for SIlver talents -- I desperately want to experience higher level Signs and Steel/Silver sword abilities, but I'm sitting around waiting for Silvers to turn up.Ideally, and I don't know if this is possible -- but if there were only one type of talent (say Bronze) you could earn, but the higher abilities cost more (two for Silver, three for Gold respectively), then a player could decide when and where to invest in abilities -- for eg: I have 5 'talents' available. I could do 5 'bronze' level talents, or 1 'gold' and 1 'silver' level talent, or 1 'silver' and 3 'bronze' etc. This would be flexible and allow me to never be 'starved' for a talent class. And it wouldn't impact early abilities because again higher abilities cost more.Finally, I'm level 31 and just started Act IV. I haven't been able to max out any Sign or Style yet, but I have two on level 3 (most of my talents went to Dex, Sta, Str and Int so far and three of these are maxed). I read in the FCR FAQ and .xls file that talents stop at level 40. Looking at how many more I will receive I think I'm going to miss out on half the signs and styles in full. Now, I know the intention is not to be able to max out everything -- I respect that and I like that element -- but I have a feeling I will be levelling past 40 before I finish the game, and I'd like to keep on earning talents I can use to try out more skills and signs. To that end, what file do I edit to add talents to higher levels past 40?2) Meteorite swordsAs above, just got to Act IV. I have quite a few meterites now and was going to upgrade my sword when I noticed something that doesn't make sense. Here are my options at the blacksmith with the stones I have:a) yyy -- 16 dam / 100 armor pen -- 2800 orensb) byy -- 17 dam/ 33 armor pen -- 2500c) ryy -- 16 dam / 5% parry / 66 armor pen -- 2300d) bby -- 18 dam / 33 armor pen -- 2200e) rby -- 16 dam / 5% parry / 66 armor pen -- 2000A few things here don't make sense:* b) uses two yellow, but its armor penetration is 33, shouldn't it be 66?* b) costs 2500, c) costs 2300 -- but c) has both 5% parry and 66 armor pentration with just 1 less damage, wouldn't it be more expensive? armor penetration seems to be weighted highly -- a) is the most expensive sword with just 16 damage.* e) uses one yellow, but its armor penetration is 66, shouldn't it be 33?* less important -- c) and e) have the same abilities, but e) costs 300 less! I know the source of the stones might play a part, but still. Thanks for any answers/feedback!Mart

1) At the beggining of mod creation I had completely different idea for talent distribution, however quite fast it appeared that there is very little that can be done. I had to do what was possible, not that what I wanted to do.The ammount of talents is calculated to provide enough skills for focused sword build, sign build or effective hybrid. The 40 level limit is there to discourage pointless grinding. Without excessive griniding you should hit level 41 in Epilogue. If you want to edit it, check talentstable.2da file.2) The cost of forged swords is 400 base cost for pure sword and the sum of meteorites cost. Ryy is so cheap because 400 base + 300 for r + 2x 800 for y = 2300.Yes, byy should say 66 armor penetration and rby 33 penetration. It's a mistake in english translation.I'd like to assure you that combat mechanics and descriptions are completely independent. If something has a description error, it doesn't mean it's not working correctly. I'm saying it in case of any doubts.Thank you for reports, I'll fix all bugs hopefully at the end of the week.

I reloaded back to act2 and grinded away a few ghouls/gravirs to lvl20. Now I will fight azar/prof again, maybe with different setup, wanna use more signs so I'm gonna try using maribor forest and petri's philter. gonna report how that went.and another question:Is there any special reason why brown oil only works 2hours now instead of 24h like all other oils ?you did change blizzard to much longer which makes sense: in vanilla I never used it, in FCR it is essential imo.

Brown oil, crinfrid oil and hanged man's venom are 3 oils which cause rather serious oil bug in vanilla game. I've shortened their duration to minimize the risk of this bug to occur.

damn. cinfrid and brown is what I use all the time normally. now I have to do 10 of them for 1 night of slaying...but it's not like there is a shortage of money/resources so I don't mind.btw, where is Shrike potion gone to ? I thought I get it in Act2 together with full moon/vampire oil.

The polish description is correct? Than I'll fix it in english and german and send you the files again. Also the entry for the Coc.katrice.

I haven't compared all reported errors with polish version but in above case, yes.

In Act 2 you only get vampire oil recipe. It's another translation bug that it says Book of Full Moon, should be just "Vampire oil recipe". In polish version it's correct.

I compared everything with Flash stats.xls. I think that's the best. And there was many errors in polish descriptions for the silver swords. You'll get the files later.I fixed the translation errors in Book of Full Moon/Vampire Oil already. I guess Flash will include it in the next version of FCR.

forget shrike, I mixed it up, it was originally coming in act4 but FCR gives you full moon/vampire oil earlier.EDIT: oops. you already beat me to it - !!

Most reliable source of data are mod files, not Excel charts. I wouldn't bet my head that Excel charts are free of errors.

Thanks for the reply -- one other report: Illegal Sword says it does 30% pain/bleed/critical but it's just (I think) 15% pain/bleed according to the stats .xls.

Than please have a look for the descriptions of every silver sword. Often is the polish entry e.g. +13 dmg while the english is +12 dmg. This occures in almost every it_svswd_xxx uti so they arn't reliable. Please report to me if the polish or english entries are correct. Than I can fix it.Edit: ok. I found weapon_abl.lua and I'll compare the entries with this file.

ok, i reloaded to before the swamp tower, made a midnight run through the swamp (wyvern island and alghoul cove) and grinded to lvl20, which went pretty quick.I put the gold into DEX maxing it out completely and silver into yrden (lvl2) and all bronze in yrden/DEX. the maribor forest/petri combi was not good, I still needed blizzard/swallow to survive so I did it like before but this time the prof AND azar were toast in 10 seconds. quickest boss fight ever. I hadstrength lvl3dex maxstamina lvl3intelligence lvl3strong steel lvl2strong silver lvl2blindweed (took 1 hour before)tawny oil low toxswallow vitality+blizzard damage+ritual of magicyrden charged in druids covesteel sword with cinfridsilver with spectreDRUNK !!! (so I get extra damage with the buzz talent and blizzard negates the penalty)tactic:do it in the night for sign intensity+exit swamp tower with silver sword drawn !!!!!!ifrit: nothing, just hack away, you end up in the lower end of the firering, away from the entrance. it went down in 2 sequences.before next cutscene switch to steelafter cutscene lay the yrden traplet them comein my case went they reach the trap I put on heliotrop and hacked away in group stylethis way BOTH got the pain effect, the prof was additonally standing in the trap so he NEVER moved during the fightI just aarded Azar to the ground and had free reign on the prof, hacked away till azar came up, then I just jumped over Azar and ran to the other side.Azar came I hacked a few times, he was also already down to 1/4 health and in this moment the prof succumbed to pain and yrden and the success-cutscene started.all in all I think my lowest was half health.I couldn't believe it and reloaded and got 2 times caught with incinerate by Azar and was down to very low health but it worked again.GLORIOUS !!!!
