Ok, thanks. Looking forward to the vampires. One more question, though (sorry, I only just stumbled upon this): I have strong silver style III, but it looks like style V with the strong spinning slash - am I seeing things or is this how it's supposed to be? And if it is, what are styles IV and V? Can they get even stronger? V was always my favorite with that powerful and beautiful 4th attack. Will the animations stay the same, only with more damage?

It is how it's supposed to be. To make damage progression correctly in sword styles I've changed number of hits in each attack. With number of hits came different animations, which btw I find more attractive. I hope people will like it. Some of most spectacular, high level animations are now on lower levels to see them more often. You won't reach 5th attack anyway because most enemies will be dead after 1-3 attacks so it would be a loss.

I just looked at your profile on ModDB. You're done these huge mods, AND you're part of the group that made The Wedding, Merry Witchmas, and is working on Crossroads? Good god. Do you sleep?

I find just enough time for everything, including heavy-duty gardening :D
Echinopsae and Archespores? ;)

I don't like it - I love it. :)After my initial problems, I find more and more very appealing changes. This really is a great new playing experience. Thank you. Again.

Hello, first off, thanks for all the hard work.I just want to know - are you still working on new version(s), or is 1.0.1.1 the final one? I just ask because I wanna know if I should wait a bit more or start playing...I do not like updating my game in the middle of playing : ). Thanks!

I'm sorry for delay. Mod is ready but I've decided to wait for a Ruby sword texture improvement. Trybal, our graphic almost finished it and I believe people using the sword will enjoy the result. New version will be available today but I can't predict precise hour.

Unfortunately Tribal wasn't home whole day. I've just learnt that this sword improvement might take few hours or even a week so there is no sense to withhold the release of new version of the mod. Pity I didn't knew about it yesterday :(First post updated.Mod is awaiting authorisation on moddb. Download should be enabled at morning.Edit: Oh, because I'm anticipating this questions - you don't have to restart the game to enjoy changes from ver 1.0.1.2, you can continue on 1.0.1.1 savegames. New sword models will appear on newly obtained swords. Those already present in your inventory will retain old model. You need to find/buy new temerian, forged, Berengar's sword.

I've started playing The Witcher EE and I realized the game is too easy. I've found FCR, and Flash difficulty mod. I know FCR includes all the improvements from Flash mod, but I have 1 question:Does FCR also makes the game harder, like Flash mod?

Hello. Both mods increase game's difficulty and both mods offer 3 higher than vanilla difficulties to choose. There's also a question what is the difference between FCR and Flash mod difficulty. I hope this quote will explain it enough:
Flash said:
FCR in-game difficulties compared to original gameeasy = mediummedium = hardhard = very hard/insaneI can't say which mod is harder - FCR or Flash Mod. It's hard to compare difficulties because FCR is like another game, not The Witcher we know. FCR is aimed to be more realistic so you can kill humans with 2 hits but you can die as easy as them. Dexterity is most important. Enemy accuracy is set to vary between 15-35% depending on class type (weak, normal, elite, boss, elite boss). It's 15-35% with optimal character development when you first meet that particular enemy. Blizzard decrease enemy accuracy by another 10%, pain and bleeding by 5% each. You end up like a witcher in books - a duel master, unbeatable by humans in swordfight but when you fight monsters or you are surrounded you can die easily and extremely fast. Even the best blademasters die when backstabbed. Only monsters and skilled humans will hit you in solo battle, but when attacked from the flank or from behind every opponent gets +50% bonus to accuracy. It's a sudden death. Mobility, blizzard, good use of signs is crucial. You will be rewarded by killing most enemies with 1 or 2 attacks. Fights are extremely fast and dynamic. Specialised sign user will deal extreme damage with Igni. 75 base damage + value dependend on enemy max health and sign intensity, could be even >100 damage while the strongest non-boss humans have around 90 hp... Aard is very useful even without critical effects. By using aard you gain few seconds to attack. Enough for 1-2 attacks and that's all what's needed to kill with FCR mod.Remember to read bestiary, recipies and tutorials. Only from there you can learn for example that you won't hit a specter without specter oil...Oh, and check The Witcher folder. You'll find excel chart with detailed enemy parameters, weapons, armors and damage calculator.Have fun.
Flash mod is much harder original game.FCR is much harder than original but gameplay experience is much different. Both mods have plenty of other improvements to choose.

Hello!FCR mod is very interesting and I am about to give it a try. Cannot wait as it seems as exactly what I have always expected from Witcher in the first place. Nevertheless I have a suggestion for this mod.Since the original aim of FCR is to make the Witcher closer to Sapkowski's books and world, what about implementing the monster exclusivity? What I mean is, that Geralt was not slaying monsters by dozens as is the routine in the game. Instead, most of monsters were loners and extremely dangerous at the same time. Therefore Geralt had to be extremely well prepared for each encounter and execute his strategies and tactics precisely. And still such fights were often very dangerous and deadly. My suggestion is to do something along these lines. Further balancing the combat to be faster and even more deadly and dramatically lowering the spawn of creatures in the same time. Put further focus on well preparations, potions and tactics. I believe that when properly implemented and balanced it could give The Witcher the same feel as one has from the books. And I also believe, that FCR is the perfect ground for such a thing.Anyway just my 2 cents and thanks for the excellent mod!

Thanks for the explanation of the FCR system.Since its the first time I'm playing The Witcher, I'll play it with only the Flash mod (insane difficulty of course :)), and, after I finish the game, I'll try the FCR, because it's features and the combat system look very good.I like the game much more with the new difficulty, it makes combats last way longer, and that's what I wanted since the first fight.

The three new options for the installer are not there and the file size of supposedly version 1.0.1.2 is exactly the same as the original FCR file. The download link said 1.0.1.2.

I don't think the new file's been fully uploaded yet.An odditie that might not be linked to the mod but I'm wondering about it anyway:
The magician's tower quest in Act 2, you first need to find a couple of books. The quest giver directs you to a dwarf next door for the first but the second is supposed to be lost, however I could buy both books from the dwarf and didn't need to do any more work. I don't remember this happening last time I played through without any mods.
I like the mod quite allot so far, I'm dying quite allot though groupe attacks are very dangerous now.

Nope, it's always been like that.

Moddb has some issues with updating already existing mirrors. Link from filefront has old version. Choose mirror option and download directly from moddb to get ver 1.0.1.2.I'll upload new version as seperate position not an update. Today everything should be fixed.

I have no idea about modding, but maybe its easy...Is there any way I can change the hp regeneration? At least when out of combat, or with food... Im playing Flash mod at insane difficulty, and its annoying having to wait so much to regenerate hp, and the monsters are too strong to fight them with low hp... :(Im in Act 1, and the "flowers" cave is taking forever :p

Great mod so far, Flash. Gives the game a very fresh feel.I'm sure someone else has pointed out that there's multiple instances (I've seen it in the combat popups, even) where 'Atak' (Polish spelling?) is used instead of 'Attack'. Other than that, I've not seen any particular goofs. Good stuff.

This is actually a fairly good idea, even in FCR - I'd love to see some kind of 'out of combat' regeneration boost, if such a thing was possible. When you have your weapons sheathed and there's no enemies targetting you, perhaps your regen rate can double, and after 15-30 seconds, triple, to cut down on pointless waiting and get you back to playing.
