This is a quote from Flash, 3 and a half year ago:
"To change forged swords models you need to edit original sword .uti files in D'jinni. Extract sword uti files from *.bifs using unbif, bifrip or wiemdzmin tools. You can easily google them."
It's about swords but should also apply to armours. And you need D'jinni, the adventurer's editor (was it's name, wasn't it?).
Or maybe you could achieve your wish by modifying

If you know nss scripts there is
CreateItemOnObject("it_medit", oPC); for example.
Maybe just use it to add the
Studded Leather Jacket? Don't know its item name - maybe
it_witcharm_002?
