[TW1] Problem with Textures mods

Hello. Need help with installing Texturen mod and Hi-Res Characters. I ve extracted all files to
The Witcher\data\Override
So there are 3500 files in that folder. And the problem is that i cant see difference with these mods and dont know if there are even working properly. I got Dark Witcher mod installed in same folder but in subfolders(" Dark Witcher", Ui, NPC) and works fine. Look at the screenshots below and please tell me if mods are working or what did i do wrong if not. I got Witcher ver. 1.5

It`s been awhile since i`ve installed the textures mods but if you`re running the installer to install the texturen mod then that hasn`t worked since windows XP . I use an extractor program like universal extractor to extract the files to a subdirectory . I also make a folder in the override folder and name it Texturen . Otherwise you`ll have files scattered in the override folder and all the while not knowing which mod they belong to . From there it`s a simple copy all the files in the subdirectory and paste them in the Texturen folder .

Thank you for your reply. I did exactly as u said. So there are 3 mods in my override folder( Texturen, Characters and Black Witcher). Still textures of NPC are the same or i cant see defference

Is this the Steam version ? If it is then installing mods is a crapshoot in that some work and some don`t .

No steam, but not cracked. I got dvd with licensed copy of the game. Well, i ll try another option

Just claim the backup copy from GOG fully patched , all you need is your cd-key . http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup . I`m actually using this mod right now .

Ok , i ve installed gog version, then textures and ... nothing new. Also installed this mod, looks cool, hope there is no need to start a new game.

I did but I don`t think it`s necessary to do so .
