Did you place the TWEditor in the Data folder ?
If you did your start in line should look like this and should include quotation marks
"E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data"

That doesn`t look right . Did you install the TWEditor in a subfolder ?
Here is a pic of what it should look like inside the Data folder .

in the witcher folder, yes? i originally didn't because when you first said subfolder i must have read it simply as folder, and thought you meant any random folder. but prior to my last message, i made a subfolder named TWEditor and placed them in it. i just didn't bother to explain as i saw little point

hold up, i think i'm just realising where i am at fault. i thought you meant a subfolder specifically set for the editor and the other two files, but if that were the case, i don't see why all the other files in your photo would be present.

You only need 1 file in the witcher/Data folder and that would be the TWEditor JAR file . Once you have that copied and pasted then right click and send to desktop .

bloody hell i need sleep
i didn't notice the file saying data, and thought you were referring to the whole witcher file.
it's now in the actual DATA folder

target line is now "E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data\TWEditor.jar"

alright . Now go to where you put the TWEditor in the Data folder and right click and select open with and browse to either
C:\Windows\system32\javaw
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaw
either one should work if you have 64 bit system . Now your target line should have changed .
If it didn`t then here are 2 that are suitable for copy and paste in the target line

C:\Windows\System32\javaw.exe -DTW.install.path="E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition" -jar TWEditor.jar

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\javaw.exe -DTW.install.path="E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition Directors Cut" -jar TWEditor.jar

javaw had already been available as the one and only suggested program to run it with, but went through the all the files just in case i was reading it wrong, as i have been tending to do on this topic just in case, and the target line hadn't changed. the first one you posted didn't work, and the second at least allowed me to save the settings, however it had director's cut near the end where the folder didn't say such, so i deleted just the two words and now it works flawlessly and i am so greatful for your help man, thank you for your bountiful patience :D and for being able to put up with a primitive such as me hahaha i'm seriously so fucking stoked it works now.

Hey there. I'm struggling with the "Unable to determine the installed language" issue as well. I've read through the past few pages and tried the solutions offered - no luck.

TWEditor.jar is currently in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data, as is the shortcut.

The Target line in the shortcut reads: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx256m -jar TWEditor.jar -DTW.install.path="C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data"

And Start In: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Witcher Enhanced Edition\Data"

I added the Java folder to the system environment variables and tried variations of arguments on TWEditor straight from command prompt, but no luck.

Would greatly appreciate any help :)
