Haven't they said 6 months multiple times? More like 7 by now. If you mean how old the build is?

Oh yeah, I had totally forgotten with all things happening around me.Still, maybe the view is different... how much time has passed since the video was finished, not leaked... that's what I meant. But, I guess I got the point now so no need further researching the matter. Thanks :peace:

Did not sound like Geralt's voice.

For more on the voice, see here.

Jeez, a simple answer would have sufficed. Just a: "No, it was a placeholder" would spare some people the extra effort of reading essay material for there interest.

Well, you read everything (and reply to it! :whatthe:), but the person in question clearly had not read the news FAQ and might want to know everything that was on it, even though they only asked about the voice. Besides, the "We’re proud that our team members can imitate native English actors so well that some people would even consider these VOs being part of the final product" was cute enough to click a link for ;D, but quoting the whole thing would have been redundant.

I doubt it's possible to rely on a certain timeline for a game development. It depends how much efforts you put in the work, how many details, test phases, etc. I think, work on a mmorpg takes a much longer time than a SP game.

Why thank you :p. I always think it best to know as much as possible, plus one may ask: "Will we ever stop learning?"... which brings me to this:Redundancy is the "construction of a phrase that presents some idea using more information than is necessary for one to be able understand the idea."So, my point being is the links provided will definitely overload on the amount of information someone would expect. Case closed ;)Therefore, I believe linking all over the place is widely more redundant than a specific extract, no matter how long or complex. :peace:

So do I, and if it does not... it should either reconsider the decision or the type of game ;)

From the looks of it, It looks like the 2nd is more like a Prequel to the First one. Cause it looks like a young Garelt and isn't as gruff as the First one

Huh? Do you mean the Geralt in the alpha footage (which didn't have finished face or hair or voice or anything...) is younger than Geralt in TW1? May I ask.. why? If anything, he looks a lot older.

Don't worry, we all sometimes have our stupid little moments. Though, some of us would gabber all night just to defend ourselves

Question: Does TW2 footage really hint at the story not being a part of Sapkowski's work and something entirely off-the-books?

Not really sure why you're worried about the storyline: You enjoyed the plot from TW1 before you knew Sapkowski didn't write it, right? That also had nothing to do with the saga, so far as I know. I trust them to do justice to Sapkowski's work. They all love the Witcher's world, and wouldn't want to do anything to put it to shame. Look at all the love they've put into it so far. Keep cool and have faith; I don't think we'll be disappointed. :peace:

I'm 99% sure you know that the story in TW1, which took place five years after Sapkowski killed Geralt off, wasn't from the books. If this story is a continuation of that one, then wouldn't it have to be not from the books? If you think about it, most of the Polish and Eastern European players know the books, so if CDPR took a story directly from the books, there wouldn't be any suspense. I think it's good that they're making up a new story!

Whoa! You're absolutely right. Seems my recent absenteeism has fogged something up there... now I see why some people insist on re-playing an abnormal amount of times. Now that that is cleared, 1 detail remains. Though, just guess-work from here... Will past events (book references) be shown in TW2? I couldn't help but notice the relation seemmutual in the footage between displayed characters. But, maybe it's from later in the game, who knows? :peace:

I have so much faith that CDPR will make this game just as epic as TW1, if not more so. I absolutely loved the storyline in the first game, with all its twists and turns, that I really don't think they could go wrong. They love Geralt and the world he lives in, the last thing they wish to do is tarnish it.

Oh, that world (with its murder, rape, bigotry, genocide and horrible living conditions to mention a few) is tarnished enough. ;)
