Wooow, this sounds simply awesome, thanks :)
UPDATE;

Just tested the mod and hud elements don't disappear. I've noticed now that the comfy couch mod should be deleted. Will try and see if this helps.
Also, would it trouble you to make a 25% opacity map, please.
Thanks in advance.

You probably have still my old "hud.swf" installed, right? :) Loose files always overwrites *.dzip archives. Move it out of your globals\gui\ folder and test it again.

@25% -> PM me.

No, I had the original comfycouch, you haven't noted in the description to dynamic hud, that the mixed version is needed for them both to work :). Everything is fine now. Will PM you about the transparency :)

When I first saw this topic I thought..."well, maybe he added some good features, but in the end there will be drawbacks". Then I checked the description via the screenshots...and it sounds perfect. xD

I will definitely give this a try. :)

There really are no drawbacks to this mod, the hud reappears as soon as you enter combat and all the necessary stuff (map, buffs, current objective) is visible all the time. This should have been implemented by CDP themselves.

Yes. The most obvious drawback I could think of was the the (lack of the) ability to check on your stuff outside of combat. But the author even thought of that and made it possible. ^^

Thanks, totally forgot that. Added a note, so people don't get confused.

Hmm, tried this and it doesn't work. I even tried deleting both this and the comfy couch mod and re-installing, but neither will work now.

edit: nvm, I downloaded from the new link and got it working. The battle log is a tad too transparent though. Excellent mod otherwise.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, that all my mods are only tested with the main game, not the Arena nor the optional tutorial. They 'should' work for the tutorial and at a extremely high chance not with the Arena, it uses its own variables & functions.

I admit, I have no immediate plans to directly supporting them.

Well, the Arena is pure fighting. Yes the background scenery does look nice as a bonus, but there is simply no need for more "immersion" by fading out the HUD elements. ^^

Plus you spend 90% of the time fighting anyway, so the HUD will be there most of the time. While in the real game...dunno...maybe 60:40 (exploring:fighting) or even less fighting. Depends on your playstyle I guess.

So I don't think it's a big deal. ;)
