TW2 runs on low spec even thou i have good Pc

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked many times before. i've just installed the witcher 2 and to play it optimaly i ahve to run it on low spec even thou i have a good pc.

CPU - I7 2600 3.4ghz
RAM - 8 gb
GPU - Geforce gtx 550ti
Windows - 7 64bit

Now, i read the sys req and i think i should run the game a bit higher than low no?

I'm i doing something wrong? thnx in advance

install fraps and write what frames you have on different settings and look if it matches this:http://www.techspot.com/review/405-the-witcher-2-performance/page5.html

Everything is fine except the card I`ve done a little comparison for the recommended card at the time VS your card now and I think you will see the difference .

I do wish Nvidia would get their act together with the labeling of cards .

You didn`t say waht resolution you`re playing at but if full HD then lowering the screen resolution should help quite a bit .

gtx 550ti is not that good, especially for tw2. i have a gtx 580 and it's not enough for maxing settings.

Graphics card is a total mismatch for that CPU

The game's very resolution dependent and very demanding of the GPU. Graphics cards lower than "recommended", which include the misleadingly labeled 550Ti, don't run well at full resolution (1920x1080) and often need reduced resolution (1280x720, 1440x900) to do well at medium to high settings.

i agree, my GTX460 1gb paired with AMD phenom quad are well matched and run Witcher2 at 1280x800 with most of the eye candy, any higher resolution and it can get a bit stuttery to say the least.Your 550 will struggle at 1280 x 800 and is waste in that machine

They got really good deals on GTX760 259.99 or you could get a GTX650ti boost for 165.00 a rally nice card for the money and will play witcher2 on high 1080p and should get 40 to 50 fps http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130910

Are you sure you're not using intel integrated GPU ? check Nvidia control panel and see if TW2's default GPU is set to 550Ti.
550Ti isn't that bad. I have an HD4870 and I run the game smoothly with high settings (Uber off) on 1440x900.
