Questions and Suggestions, leave your suggestions too!

Hello, first thing is that i love the first and second witcher game and this one blows my mind, your are my favorite studio. From this years of playing games i never found a awsome and lovely guys as you are and caring for the fans. But now my questions and suggestions:

- If you could add more races and fights that you can bet on, because you only have 3 races and 3 fights in each zone and i really loved if you could add more.
- One side mission that you have Ciri as a companion or you could play as Ciri or both, i really enjoy playing as Ciri but i thought that i didnt play that much as her.
- There are 3 armors in the game with 4 differents levels and they are awsome but i would love to have that but with witcher armor, a really awsome armor.

I would love too hear your thoughts on this fans and people from CD Projekt Red, you could add 2 of them on a patch and the other a dlc. I really appreciate you guys supportings us with a lot of patches and giving us gratis dlcs, no fan could ask for a better company as yours selfs, and sorry for the bad english. But i hope you see this!

One hitting strong monsters is unimmersive as well. And at the end of the day, fun gameplay is probably the most important thing, more important than just about anything else. And many people are not having fun being over leveled for many main and side quests.

its the result of your power whne rearch to the lore lvl at some point,, the rest is game balance and yo ucan always change dificulity

Scaling levels is silly idea what this game needs is balancing xp and level gain as it is to easy now too many questa goes gray.

So...i finished the game. It was absolutely awesome, i've done every sidequest i could find but one chapter of the game was really shit...

Till u reach Skellige and choose to make some ?-Places on the sea, it's stupid.....always the same shitty smuggler's caches with 4-5 Sirens and only Crap to loot. Saddle's everywhere and to much shit...i've done 12 Places and come back with 490/160 weight back full packed of shit and saddle's and there wasn't a simple thing i could need, not a diagram or one of the fucking 9 saddle's i found in 12 places....

Plz Red, add some nice content to this. Replace a smuggler's cache or two and add a ship whreck, an cavern or something special. We all have seen there are true genius between you but it looks like your last goal was to fill skellige with some crappy, boring content to let stupid people like me shipping the sea with the repeating prayer "next would be awesome again, like Velen!".

Change something plz. Otherwise i would never, never, never again do this shit again during the next 25 playthroughs.

Everything else was awesome, some small bugs like falling from sky during a siren combat or missing water on a coast were acceptable

What Gothfather said is good insight into part of the problem. This is a two part problem:

1. The high rate of fire and stagger chance stops the AI from pathing towards the player. Even if he was making an effort to get closer and attack, the player prevents it with each consecutive shot.
2. The AI frequently chooses to taunt the player from a distance even though the AI is able to get to the player. In other words, the AI should not be taunting unless he cannot reach the player.

I highly recommend you change the title of this thread so that it receives proper attention. I think they would just need to patch an exception for AI saying something like, "AI can only stagger X times in Y seconds. Otherwise, continue to charge player." Otherwise, they will continue to become interrupted when attacking and be exploitable.

For those who do not think it is a bug, it clearly is because this does not look like something the designers would intend to happen. The Witcher 3 aspires for fantasy-realism. Guards attack when they catch you stealing, for example. It does not make sense that players should be able to keep humans at bay by continually firing bolts at them. The guards should either charge in rage or take cover.

Good issue to post! It's helpful you attached that video.

The "problem" wouldn't exist if the A.I would learn to dodge bolts, but instead they get knockback and continue to either approach, or skitter away.

This doesn't make the A.I dumb in any way, but simply overlooked. It could be improved, as with anything can be improved, and should be improved. Though the A.I isn't dumb in any way whatsoever.

How do I deal with this "issue" is I actually FIGHT rather then spam crossbow bolts.

While they're at it, they can try fixing the atrocious enemy placement and level selection.

>go to Velen
>stroll over to Devil's Pit
>naked bandit 5 levels above you kills you in two hits
>while he's wearing a cloth and brandishing a stick and survives 30 hits from a steel sword
I didn't know wether to laugh or cry after seeing that in a CDPR game.
They've handled The Witcher as a property fine thus far, no idea how they messed up this badly, and the broken AI that just stops working... I think the game needed another year in development. Poor CDPR wanting to make an open world game, would have been better as a hub based RPG.

I'm not sure if this has been requested (through the 80+ pages) but I would love the ability to remap my controller for PC. I use the Xbox 360 PC version and it would be great to be able to switch a few things around. But more importantly, to have the Home button functional. It's a waste to have a button not utilized at all. I would love to have this just for a quicksave button, if anything.

I also think you shouldn't be able to lose an enemies attention too easily and when you do (from actually running away from an enemy for a good while) the enemy should go back to its spawn point and regain its health fully . its dumb that you can keep running away healing up and going back in so easily!

Think they force it "on" due to the Hag on screen mud effect?

Interesting, i hope they can still give us an option to turn of the raindrops on the screen. I don't no why they would force it on us anyway.. and frankly the raindrops don't even look good. They look more like stains than waterdrops. Why you would simulate a dirty lens look is just beyond me...
Well some people seem to like a simulated filthy screen... i guess its a matter of taste... which makes it so frustrating there is no option. There is no middle you either love it or you hate it. Give us a option CDPR

Heres the mistake that most developers make when trying to simulate Rain effects for the player. They make you see spots in your face as if I'm wearing a pair of glasses. Sorry devs, but I don't need my vision blocked with speckles of rain. The Human eye does not see rain in this manor. We don't need simulated rain drops in your eyes as if you are wearing glasses.

Well, when I see npc getting stuck in the decor and not coming at me if I shoot them from afar, I call this dumb AI.

You can say all you want about the OP being a coward, or not playing by the rules and other sarcasm, the fact is, they gave us a crossbow and one can expect to use it without breaking some sort of "rule" that implicitely tells you that you can only engage ennemies in melee.

The AI is far from perfect in many situation and that is one of the reason the game feels so easy, even on harder difficulties.

This man knows that the situation is!

To some of the others, this has nothing to do with cowardice (lol), I'm literally two feet from some bandit and he just doesn't bother coming at me. I can fire a crossbow bolt once every hour if I want to, the dude just stands there and takes it!

Even more laughable is when you have groups of three of four bandits just standing a few feet away taunting eating arrows, not even attempting to come towards me.

Surely this cannot be right?

With all the talk about clever AI they really need to fix this ASAP!

+1 the effect makes sense for a car racing game, not a 3rd person RPG

Though I like that it makes hag frights more challenging and unique, but it still makes no sense

Could Upscaling be made an option? Personally, I'd like it. But I know some do not. (Upscaling only, leave downscaling out, of course.)

What do you expect the bandit to do? Parry the bolts back at you? Dodge the bolt with superhuman reflexes? Cast Quen? I mean come on, it's a bandit not a Witcher. You expect too much.

On a side note, why do people keep referring to scripts as "A.I.", beyond me.

Why would this enemy's behavior be scripted? OP said this is a global issue with all human enemies, so it would be handled by AI decisions in combat most likely. It would more likely be handled by script if it was in a scripted battle or mission in which the enemy NPCs were told to go to a specific place at a specific time.

People saying that OP is at fault for cheesing through the fight are just...

This does NOT justify enemies being braindead, the AI is laughably bad once you get to know it.
Basically any outdoor fight has a free out-of-jail card that you can play bo moving slightly out of enemy chase radius.

like here:

And i dare you, i double dare you to look me in the face and admit that in outdoor fight, you'd choose to die rather than move out of their chase radius and wait till you're healed.

Man you gotta be a really bed sign-mage or swordfighter if you have to resort to this.

No witcher died ever in his own bed. You will be the first one dying of boredom.
