I also hope for a rather small day one patch, because my internet isn't fast enough.

And hopefully I get the Game on May 16th :D
My retailer wants to send the game on May15th and it normally takes 1 day to arrive, this would be really great!
I preordered the witcher 3 approximatly 1,5 years ago and also get a gog copy to support CDPR.
Cant wait for the Last part of the Legend!

None that I've been able to find. I'm guessing it's at least a week away if not two.

Its 25GB i THINK on XB1...when i downloaded it it took a hour or 2 or 3...i remember playing for a hour then checking it was only 50% then i went to bed so i dont really know exaclty how long it took...But I read that XB1 is 25GB and PS4 is 30GB.
So does anyone know what time on the East Coast (EST) Monday May 18th it will be unlocking for preloaders?

I do not understand why on X1 is already possible to preload, and other platforms not.

micro$oft must have probably paid for pre-load exclusivity

PC and PS4 digital pre-load will be available later, maybe a week before release (that is my bet) or maybe even later, few days or so.

GTA V preload date was announced only 2 days before and the new Wolfenstein is on preload now without any prior announcement. Both offer(ed) a 1-week preload.
So sadly I don't think we'll get any news soon :/

You'd better bring some proof, especially when you write Microsoft with a $, otherwise you just sound like a MS hater, which considering the $ might be the case.

Project CARS is also available for preload on XBO from today, not sure if it is on PS4/Steam, but if it's not, did MS also pay them for early preload?
Seriously people, can't you accept that they just released it early for the benefit of their customers, why do you have to hate on this?
If you have a problem, contact the owner of your platform of choice for details.

Like it or not CDPR made a deal with Microsoft to ensure some visibility in mainstream medias (maybe I'm mistaken with the reason why, though that's what I have understood). Earlier preload is likely a part of the deal (as exclusive xbox collector edition, special treatment when naming the Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft).

Ahem, that's CDPR in the case of PC. So people are actually at the correct location with this issue here... ;)

Haha, true that.
Still, it should be addressed to GoG. :)

The deal they made is not something too involved from what we've seen so far, they've shown the game on their E3 presentations and they also don't restrict in any way the other platforms (like the marketing deals for some other games) and all the extra marketing CDPR gets is a win for them. Also the extra stuff in the XBO CE is thanks to MS.

For the preloads, I think that as a whole XBO has the earliest preloads for a lot of games in general. I've seen them make preloads available before PS4/Steam, so it's most likely their policy and has nothing to do with 'buying the rights for the earliest preload'.
In any case, there will be ample time to download the game on all platforms.

Will this be available for digital download?

My DVD drive is dead. Are there any plans for a digital download?

DVD drives are really cheap these days. You can get like 3 or 4 of them for the price of the witcher 3.

CDPR has said that there are no plans for a digital backup copy, like with the previous games, any time soon.

So, buy the digital version from gog.com or Steam, or just buy a cheap dvd-rom.
