no on pc you can just import your previous savegame into TW3
for console players Geralt can talk about his past adventures with the barber before his audience with the emperor

And how would that work if you don't have any savegames? Keep in mind that there will be also newcomers on PC as well.

I know someone wrote this in one of the previews, but the Cd Project Red guys on the twitch stream just hinted that the choices will be made throught Dandalion.

I thought the PC import saves were a given...

I would like to know about PC import as well, if there is someone here with the answer.

I already have 2 different playthrough save games but it would be nice to hear it from a bard(Which they told in the live stream. Barber?) or if I want to change something from the my save games; İt'd be a nice additional option for pc.

They said bard on the Twitch livestream, which we all believe will be Dandelion ;) And Geralt will correct him while he sings a song, if he gets it wrong.

Easy way to distinguish saves.

Please make a easy way to know what save you are passing from The Witcher 2 to The Wticher 3, in the first game, i couldn't tell which save i was carrying, it should show some of the choices of the second game, before it starts, like Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
Example: Save 1 - 50 hours played, Roche's path.

Yeah, I couldn't tell you anything about the save files I have on my computer. I'll probably just replay the TW1 and TW2 some time before the game comes out and import whatever I feel to be the best choices as the save.

As far as I know there will be the choice to either import OR to do it the Dandalion way for PC. Both is possible.

Why are people saying our saves will be created throught Dandalion? I read in at least 3 different hands-on that it's the barber from the bath scene. Considering that we probably won't meet Dandalion in the prologue, it doesn't make much sense that it's him, because the wolrd state has to be created before we are released into the open world.(althought we could meet him right after the prologue). The barber on the other hand talks to us at the end of the prologue. I still think they just have mistaken "bard" and "barber" during the QA.

Yeah it's been clarified but what's not clear yet is if either the barber or a bard(possibly Dandilion) will help us establish our past actions. Maybe it'll be through a few NPCs instead of just one.

It'll be through the barber, Damien was just mistaken on the latest GOG stream. And yes, all platforms will have it, even PC.

Did he admit it or are you just assuming?

He left implicit in the Stream it would at Dandelion and I saw some reviews that said the same, but I also saw some reviews that say it's from the barber.

Can anyone tell me, are there any differences between importing my TW1/2 Save on PC into TW3 and using the "Decision system" with the barber?

My fear is that this "decision system" will be like Mass Effect 2's system. If you imported your save into ME2, you got a full, comprehensive import of all of your choices. But if you used the ME2 "decision system", it would only let you make the big choices, and omitted many smaller choices.

Will The Witcher 3 "decision system" be fully comprehensive or will it omit smaller choices and details? If there are choices that I can import on PC import that I cannot import through the "decision system" then I will just play on PC, but if the "decision system" is comprehensive, then I will consider buying this game on PS4.

We don't know the details, but I would expect it to include any decision that has any significance in TW3. The only potential difference is on item import, but from what we've heard, there may not be any.
