TW3 trailer at VGX 2013

+
To change the topic a little bit towards the awesome art direction we can see in those short bits of gameplay...I was thinking what's so special about the Witcher games that they are so immersive and one of the comments on NeoGAF under the latest trailer summed it up pretty well, something like "when other developers create fantasy game they look at fantasy, when CDPR creates a fantasy game they open history books".

I think it's a really powerful tool CDPR is using, creating the world we can believe in because we all saw it somewhere. That's why The Witcher games are so immersive IMO.

Yes, it is. Such a pity I can't give you +(input your own number).

By the way, why can't we vote up/down for mods?

I watched this trailer probably two dozen times, and I like it. A bit cheesy ("no man who meets the hunt returns to this world"... well, you know, Geralt returned, Yen returned, that guy in the asylum near Flotsam also returned), but for a trailer it is all right.

Nothing can beat a huge Novigrad, and an attacking griffin (CDPR, sincere thanks!). :)

I watched some of the highlights, if they can be called that. Yeesh, was it bad. That clown kept cracking jokes when Keighly was trying to be serious. I actually felt sorry for him. This may seem obvious to all of us, but the show could be a good thing if they just get more experts from the industry instead of celebs.

From this interview: In the demo we saw, Geralt is on the search for the sole survivor of the Wild Hunt's last appearance -- the complete obliteration of a township following the appearance of a ghost ship. The town, Dalvik, has been burned to ashes, and Geralt must track down Bjorn, who has become something of an outcast. He's lost his son, no-one believes his stories, and to the outside world he appears to be more than a little off his rocker.

The man that survived the raid from the Wild Hunt, is probably the man that speaks in the trailer (the future CGI trailer)

On a side note, I wonder when we'll get to see that ;)/>

I had it on in the background from about five minutes from the start until after the Witcher trailer. I just couldn't believe how totally, totally painful McHale was. Keighley looked really uncomfortable.

Not to mention all these places Geralts in look like fucking paintings. The way all of the colors are arranged, it's beautiful!
