Actually one of my favorite parts of skyrim is that you could make any armor reach the 567 armor cap. So you didn't need to wear any armor you didn't like the look of, you could just smith up legendary quality versions of any armor and reach or exceed the cap. I do love having that kind of flexibility so I can choose to make my character look the best as possible.

I would say, I don't really mind as much in TW as I really like the look of most weapons in game, so I am not as picky when I like all of the available options.

@Bellator Pius Gratus That is a great idea as well. I also have faith in the devs, and think that since they read the forums thoroughly, they know we all agree that TW3 would be better with a system that allowed us to choose our weapons and armor based on looks, without having to sacrifice stats and power. I'm sure they'll find a clever way to do it.

Well it wasn't Gwalchica at least. ;) Don't remember that sword. At all. I honestly thought you meant a steel sword, either G'valchir, Gwalhir, or possibly Gwyhyr. Oh well.

The silver sword looks a lot like Aerondight, I kept that for a long time in Witcher 2 before switching. Loved the story behind it from Witcher 1.

Funny you should say that because the reason I've been using Gvalchca is because it looked more like TW1 Aerondight than TW2 version of Aerondight.

I'm hoping for far more sword customization. Every player's character is the same, Geralt, who is awesome, but I want my Geralt to wield my blade. Take the character customization most RPGs have and put that into sword customization. Multiple types of blades, not just double bladed, single blade or curved, but choosing the fuller, pommel, grip, crossguard and color/pattern of the steal.

Yeah. Thats what i was talking about. Also i reaaly want to look at the Wiitcher swords as something exceptional weapons like they are in last renders/wallpapers of Witcher 2/3. The swords and armor models in Witcher 2 mostly looked poor an very much alike. They was differ just in very small details , like color or padding or pattern on cloth. But the really should look different and so special that you want to own them.

I want warhammers. Those Nilfgaardians have too much plate on them for my poor swords:huh:

Their armor is not the problem for experienced swordsman. Medieval had swords for such siituations with sharp point to pierce armor. Also every armor got weakness and there were many technics to beat armored opponent, for exampe Tallhoffer and Durer gravures and manuscripts shows them. Battlehammer is a very good thig against that opponents, but its not Geralt style. He`s swordsman. It`s much more suited to Zoltan and dwarves.

I know, I was just making fun of fantasy's general sword fetish:troll: Techniques existed, but even with them swords became more of a sidearm as the plate armors became more common. Geralt, of course, does not have a problem in applying those techniques, but the mauling of Nilfgaardians "strong style" is still interesting and some of those killing animations in TW2 where he really goes straight through the breastplate looked bad.
