Two copies of game on PS4

A couple of weeks ago, I borrowed a copy of The Witcher 3 (PS4), which I enjoyed and decided to buy my own copy.
But upon inserting the new disc, the system is treating it as a separate copy of the game, which means I can't open the previous version and continue playing where I left off.

I bought the standard The Witcher 3 edition, but can't recall what the previous edition was – both copies of the game is named exactly the same on the PS4.

How can I continue to play on my previous save game? Any help is much appreciated!

Did you try to delete the previous installation of the game and re-install it with your own disc? Not your save data, only the game data?

I've just made a backup of the previous save games on a USB stick, deleted the previous version of the game (including save games), rebooted and then tried to copy the previous save games back onto the system storage with the error: "Cannot copy. The application for this saved data is not installed."

Then I tried to delete everything - including the new version of the game - reinstall it, but still the same error.

Found another thread with the same issue. It looks like there's different versions of the game being sold in Denmark, which does not support each others save games: http://forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/49918-Just-bought-the-game-again-saves-not-working
