I read in the manual to go to character screen and look for mutagen slots but as of the end of chap 1 I don't see any what am I doing wrong.

I read in the manual to go to character screen and look for mutagen slots but as of the end of chap 1 I don't see any what am I doing wrong.

The slots for mutagens only appear on a select few abilities, and are only unlock if you invest a point in the ability which has a mutagen capacity. The slot will appear as a small circle in the lower left of the ability's icon. There're only two mutagen slots in the 'Training Path' branch of the skill-tree, and are attached to abilities in which not everyone will invest a point, so it's possible to miss them. There're other slots in the other branches, but, they're attached to some of the more advanced abilities. I've tried not to spoil much, but I hope this helps.
