Unable to mod using bat files - missing patch.bundle file?

For some time now I am unable to mod my game using bat files from nexus. I noticed, that I do not have a patch.bundle file in my \content\content0\bundles folder. After launching a bat file I get message attached below.

Is it because of missing patch.bundle file? If so could anyone send his unmodified patch.bundle? If not, then why suddenly I'm enable to mod my game? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you need patch.bundle to use mods. I don't know if u can play without patch.bundle. If u are on gog or steam just click verify/repair and wait.

@Mordek113 Unfortunately my PC is offline, so I cannot verify/repair. I did a full reinstall, sadly patch.bundle is nowhere to be found. How big is the file?

Is that the correct place? All mods I've used reference content\patch0\bundles.

That's the right place. No patch.bundle since around 1.04.

I agree that the directory path you named is correct, or at least is the one I've been using (and instructed to use). However, I looked around in the directory .../content/patch0 and found a file "patch.bundle"

I copied that file into the mod install directory ...content/content0/bundles and reinstalled the mods that were not working for me. The installs went through just fine, I'm about to check in game but wanted to post this possible fix before I forgot.

@geas_rex @Dragonbird Ok, I found what the problem was. I always backup my game directory before a patch, so I could roll back if something went wrong for me with the new one. Somewhere in the juggling process I ended up with a copy without patch.bundle, that I was trying to mod, while using other directory to actually play the game :p. Derpy, derp, derp. So I took my laptop, went to the wifi fountain, installed and repaired through gog, verified patch.bundle was were it's supposed to be, and copied all the files to my offline PC. Now all the mods are working, and my body is ready for modkit.

Thank you all for your help. You guys are bestest!

Glad you got it fixed! For my part, the copy and paste for patch.bundle didn't work for the Unrestricted Witcher Gear mod by aroth, but installing that mod into the content/patch0/bundles directory did work. No answers for why patch.bundle disappeared though. Sounds like your resolution was a lot more thorough than mine!

Note: Since I'm a new user, it won't allow me to post a link. The mod I was having specific trouble with is 264 on the Nexus.
