Unable to transfer PS Plus save data from delisted game to Complete Edition

+
Hello, I am a PlayStation 5 user who has an issue with my saved game data for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

I recently purchased the Complete Edition of the game on my PS5. However, I had previously made significant progress on the Standard Edition, which I had downloaded from the PS Plus Special Catalog. The Standard Edition is now no longer available in the catalog, and I can't access that version of the game.

My issue is that I am unable to transfer the save data from the Standard Edition (which is stored in my PlayStation cloud) to my purchased Complete Edition. I understand that the process requires linking my GOG account from the Standard Edition's main menu, but since the game has been delisted, I can no longer perform this step.

I have already tried all available in-game options to load the data, but I am only given the option to start a new game.

Is there any way for your support team to help me transfer my save data from my PlayStation cloud to my GOG account, or to manually enable the save file for use with my Complete Edition? I would be very grateful for any assistance you can provide.

Thank you for your time and help.

Unfortunately, I don‘t really see a way how cdpr support could do anything about it in this particular situation, as they most likely would not have access to your save game.

You can ask them via the support website:
(there is no support topic that matches your issue so this one will have to do)

But I am not optimistic here.

Same thing, the difference is that I bought a DVD version of the Complete Edition. It is worth mentioning that the Standard Edition that was on the PS Plus catalogue had all the DLC's installed.

I played this game on the PC and never finished because of some mistake on my side deleting the wrong save games or something, over 80 hours went in trash, so I decided to finish my favourite game of all times, and I'm 52 and started playing on ZX Spectrum, Commodore and Amstrad, so I played some games in my life..

Didn't went far this time, but still.

So, is there maybe a possibility we upload somewhere our save games, and then some Witcher from CD Project Red brews us a converted copy of the saved games?

Thank you in advance!

As said before, you can use the link that I mentioned before to ask CDPR support directly.

For everybody else, a replay from CD Project Red support, very fast indeed:

If you have not uploaded your saves to Cross Progression before, I'm afraid I won't be able to help you retrieve them.

You can try reaching out to PlayStation Support for help regarding this matter.

I will send a rebuke to Sony for not warning people that a game will be removed soon from the subscription list, and I'm pleading for others to do the same. I will ask the consumer protection agency if this is by the rules, as obviously the sole purpose for this is that people buy those games so they could continue to play unfinished games. Is that subscription for?
