will there be random encounters between NPCs, like police chasing someone down the street
There have been a few statements about everything in game being hand crafted, which makes random encounters seem less likely IMO as they are by definition procedurally generated. However, there is no official word about your specific question yet.

thanks for the response, at 10:47 of the gameplay trailer, you can see NCPD banging on someone's door, very curious to see what would've happened if the player had stayed to watch it play out

My 20+ years experience in videogames says that nothing would have happened. NCPD would have kept knocking and jackie would have started to tell V "move your fucking culo". Don't rise your expectations too much or the disappointment will be huge.

The Devs already said NPCs will talk and V can listen in on and interact with them on the topic they are talking about, maybe V could talk to the Cops about cyberpsychosis. I am with you i would have liked to see what happened even if as Mybrokenenglish says nothing will happen.

Hey.
I write here because i will not open a new thread for my single question:
In the szene from 9:07 to 9:22 you can see on the window a touch screen. Is the player able to change the daytime with this ?
I come to this conclusion because before the player hit "Morning" the display shows "Current Environment: Night"
After hit "Morning" the display shows "Current Environment: Morning"

Thank you very much

It's probably a preset for the room ambiance like shutters open/closed, music on/off, and who knows what others. Like it was In Deus Ex Mankind Divided

I agree with Sild V just opens the blinds to let the sun in . There is a full day / night cycle but the player wont be able to change it themselves .

It is unknown currently. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the view is actually just digital. However, it could also just be that "night" just means the metal slats are closed to help the resident sleep. Either is possible. From a architectural design perspective, it would make more economic sense to have windows instead of expensive digital walls on outer rooms. It appears that V's room is on the outside of the building, since the megabuilding looks like a hollow square from within. So if I had to guess, I would say it's more likely a real window with metal shades ... but neither would surprise me.

Rawls, thanks and other also thanks.
Forgot to ask what your guys opinion is regarding the button "Braindance".

From CDPR last year:
https://forums.cdprojektred.com/ind...e3-2018-trailer-frame-by-frame-ep04.10972304/

For many Night City residents, crushing poverty and homelessness are significant and likely inescapable problems. Despite this, most are still entranced by the glitz of showbiz and luxurious lifestyles of the privileged elite. Breakthroughs in neural technology paved the way for people to share recordings of their own personal memories and emotions via tech known as “braindance” (or BD). Some BD productions put actors in staged situations to create “false” memories, to give viewers the feeling that they’re living in an action film. Other BDs are simple recordings of a day in the life of the world’s biggest and brightest stars. The ability to “become” a celeb and experience a life of luxury gives many a chance to escape their own miserable reality. As a result, braindance addiction has become an ever-growing problem for the city’s poor. Also, as with all forms of entertainment media, illicit braindance recordings (XBDs) can be found easily in the seedy underbelly of Night City’s black market.

From CDPR back in 2013 (link now dead ... so could have changed): https://cyberpunk2077.gamepedia.com/Braindance
The world of Cyberpunk 2077 presents a grim vision of the future. Tech advancement went hand in hand with the decay of society. Body augmentations invented to serve society simply multiplied the problems, and sometimes lead to mayhem on the streets. New inventions led to addictions and poverty became an even larger problem.

In Cyberpunk 2077, the player will be thrown into a dark future. The metropolis of Night City is a stage set to tell the tale of one individual, raised on the streets, who tries to lift himself up from the gutter and find a way to survive amongst boostergangs and megacorporations in a city of filth and sin. Drugs, violence, poverty and exclusion haven’t disappeared by 2077, as people stayed as they were for centuries – greedy, closed-minded and weak. But not only ghosts of the past trouble mankind, but new issues have appeared. Psychos go on rampages and the streets are filled with junkies addicted to a new form of entertainment – the braindance, a cheap way to experience the emotions and stimuli of someone else, someone living a more exciting life.

Braindances are digital recordings of a person’s experience. The viewer can stream a braindance directly into his neural system via special brain augmentations, called a BD player. Braindances allow the viewer to experience all brain processes registered, including emotions, muscle movements and all stimuli perceived by the recording person.

The range of themes of these recordings varies from simple braindances made by megacorporations, which e.g. allow the viewer to feel the full experience of an explorer with all its thrills, sweats, smells, views, sounds and the real feeling of curiosity that pushes men to go beyond the horizon against fear and physical weakness. But there are also more controversial sides of braindance, because some recordings are created illegally in the underground. Entering the mind of a serial killer means not only seeing the monstrosity he performs, but also living his lust to kill and fulfillment.

You haven’t experienced the latest New Hollywood recording? You’re nobody! The streets live with braindances, everyone just got crazy and wants to be a part of this new entertainment fad. Some people push it even too far and they cannot stop living other people’s lives. If you’re not linked to a braindance right now, you are probably discussing what happened to you during your last session. Of course, just like every great new cultural movement, BDs have people who criticize them. Just watch these two guys arguing about this phenomena (image attached aside).

This is the world of 2077. The gap between high and low is bigger than ever. Drugs, violence, braindance, psychos on the loose… Will you be able to function in this defunct society or end up a BD-junky with nothing left, set aside like garbage - still living someone’s else life – not aware of what’s going on around you? Whether you like it or not - this is the age of braindance decadence; this is Cyberpunk 2077.

Can we ingame choose or purchase the type of bullet type (can not explain in english.. hardcore bullet & softcore bullet??)
Do you mean full metal jacket bullets vs hollow point bullets? There are a few other types too, but I'm guessing this is what you mean. If so, I haven't heard anything about it yet one way or the other.

Not really, I actually can't recall any shooter that makes use of hollow point or softcore expanding rounds, except for maybe Escape from Tarkov, there are A LOT of ammo types in that game. But that's more a hybrid than a pure shooter.

Yes, this is what i mean.
In shooter games is this common? 2 types of bullets ?
some type of bullets I've seen in games are with elemental damage (fire/ice/elecricity) or high-penetration bullets. We know that CP2077 will have elemental damage (demo), question is: elemetal weapons, bullets or both? We'll see.

I'm hoping bullets. I really don't want this to become Borderlands. "L3G3ND@RY Fire Rifle of Magical Shooty Fun."

Since everybody was so hyped with borderlands 3 + people telling me "it's not only about looting" I made the mistake of buying borderlands 2 + pre-sequel. Worst money spent for a videogame ever together with AC origins (bought almost only for ancient egypt though). I don't even like that kind of humor, not since I turned 16 ages ago, at least.
